I am taking the family to the Villas at the AKL for a week. Family is seven adults and two toddlers [DGF (me), DGM, DS, his girlfriend:love:, DD, married DD, DS-in-L, DGS (4), DGS (2)] and we are in a 2 BR suite.:cool1:

I have done the DDP before, both the original (great!!) and the revised (eh-h!!), but have never tried the QSDP. I seem to remember that there used to be a formula that could be used to determine if the DDP is worth the $$$ but I can't seem to find it (if it has ever existed).

We have six ADRs (one bkfst at Crystal Palace, one lunch at Coral Reef, three dinners for all at Teppan Edo, Les Chefs, and Boma, one dinner for the young adults w/o our grandsons at Raglan Road.:dance3:

I'm trying to decide whether to do the QSDP or the basic DDP. I am going over the menus to make my decision. Can someone give me advice or point me to a way of making the decision easily?:confused3

I don't have any formulas, but I think with that many TS meals, you would be much better off doing the regular DP. Check into it, but I think the cost difference is only $10/adult per day--and ANY TS will cost you at least $20/adult per meal. If many of the adults share an entree or something, it might not work, but otherwise, even with paying tip, I can't imagine that it would be cheaper for you to do the quick service. Just double check on the cost difference between the two plans and calculate how much in total you'd save--then see if that's more or less than the cost of all your ADR's. Again, I can't imaging you're saving unless you pretty much only do the quick service. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the info. I am thinking along the same lines so you kinda reinforce my thoughts.:worship:
