I've managed to "talk" husband into one day at Disney before our 7 night cruise (not through the Disney Cruise line). So we will be arriving in Orlando at 10 AM on Friday morning. We will spend that night at a Disney resort and then on Saturday, make our was to Port Canaveral. We will also be traveling with our friends.

So far, this is our plan:
Use DME to get from Airport to Mod resort on Friday (our friends are arriving on a different flight, so we will meet up with them at the resort).
Use DME to get back to MCO on Saturday to pick up a transfer through the cruiseline to Port Canaveral.
Use the transfer from the cruiseline to get back to the airport on our return.

So far, this way will only cost 100 bucks for us, but I'm beginning to think that the hassle will be crazy and there will be a lot of "hurry up and wait" involved.

DH and I used a town car company a few years ago and LOVED it. The last time we were at Disney, we rented a car and it was okay.

So I would like to get some other opinions on the best way to do this from people who have done it. What option did you go with? What did you like about it? What frustrated you about it? And what was the over all cost?

Thanks for the help everyone, this is the last bit that I need to get planned then I can relax.

When we went on our cruise, we used a limo. We stayed the night at an aiport hotel and had them pick us up from the hotel and take us to port. We could have went back to the airport and took the bus, but my time and sanity is worth good money to me. I was glad we spent the extra $ to have someone drive us on OUR schedule rather than on thiers.

I looked up 3 rates with the company that we used - all of these are pre tip:

Towncar - 200
Van - 240
Limo - 300

For us, it was worth the extra $ for the space of the limo since I was traveling with a broken leg at the time, but it may not be worth it for you. Personally I would do the van, with the extra space for everyone and your stuff and someone going on your own schedule for about $20 more per couple
