Our last Disney vacation was in March of 2004 (actually it was our first as a family, though I have been twice before).

Everyone loved it so much and it was the best family time that we've ever spent together. We all really want to go again and are just trying to decide when is best. We last went just before our boys turned 6 and 8(actually we were there for our oldest's birthday). We want to go once more as a family and somewhere down the line Dh and I would like to go just the 2 of us. Anyway, the earliest we would go is this fall (October) and our boys will be 8 and 10, or we could go next year, the year after, or whatever.....I'm just wondering, are they at a better age now? or say in 2 or 3 years from now?

Thanks.

Then you could get in on the free dining, and still be able to go to MNSSHP! You may also luck out with smaller crowds. I think some kids tend to lose the magic of WDW as they get older, like my DD13. She was more concerned what was going on with her friends back home than enjoying our trip. But, your kids might be different.

I agree, at the end of Sept, or early Oct... would be nice too ha! My kids are also young, 6 and 10 and they still have the magic in their eyes, when they see the castle as they walk down Main Street... I wonder for how long, this will last, so for now, it's fun and magical to see it... Go while they are still young. I don't want to sound stupid, but what is the free dining? and how long is it for?
