I see so many great photos on this site, so I thought I would get some opinions from you all! I am looking to replace our digital camera and don't know which one I want.

We currently have a Casio Exilim. I like the small, portable size and it takes decent photos. The major con I have with this camera is that amount of time it takes in between photos to snap them. For example...standing in line at WDW taking photos of my girls with characters. There area million people behind us and I want to take a couple shots of each character/pose. But I have to wait a few seconds in between shots. Can anyone relate?

I am not opposed to another small digital camera...as long as it takes quick shots. I have also been looking at digital SLR cameras. I know those will take quicker snapshots, but I don't know that they are convenient due to their larger size. I keep seeing that Nikon commercial with Ashton Kutcher and think maybe I should check into that camera.

I want to stay around $400. Can you all please give me any tips/ideas/suggestions? Thanks a bunch!

Yes the DSLR will give you that quick responce but it is not pocket size. Nikon has a couple of new cameras out like the S210 and the s600 that should be nice and small and respond alot faster that your Casio. Both of these cameras sell for $300 or under.

I beieve it's the Canon PowerShot 8.0/S5IS. There is a huge thread on here about it.

That is a good camera. You are getting into the size of a DSLR but without the ability to change lenses. One bug advantage is you can spend more money and get a larger flash to reduce the red eye.

Another feature I like it that you can turn the display off and use the viewfinder, this will save on battery power that can come in handy when you are at the pasrks all day. Though this viewfinder is not oprtical, it is still an electronic viewfinder, but uses less power. I wear glasses and personaly do not like the LCD viewfinders.
