Hi :wave2:

I am trying to decide which buffet restaurant to eat in on Christmas Day. There will be myself DH, DS (9) and DD (8) both have autism which is why I need a buffet restaurant. I like the idea of Crystal Palace but I figured that MK would be too busy to allow them to walk comfortably up main street to get there. So I am thinking of a resort restaurant :confused3

What would you pick and why? We will be staying in the Contemporary

Thanks

i would consider o'hanas for your kids AND for you. with a buffet you'd be getting up for food so many times (i'll assume you will be going with the kids or for the kids) you may not have enough time to feed yourself! with o'hanas it's all you care to eat but they deliver it, the kids won't have to wait forever to be fed, you can sit back and relax, it's not as hustle and bustle (except for when the kids activities are going on) and there are characters!

I voted for Boma but only because 1900 Park Faire wasn't on the list. They have great food and the Cinderella characters (Cindy, Prince Charming, the mice Suzy and Perla, and the Fairy Godmother in the lobby). It is a buffet and you wouldn't have any trouble getting there as the GF is on the monorail. The GF is always decorated so beautifully and would make for a perfect Christmas visit.

I also voted for Ohana's as they will serve you at the table and you will not have to keep getting up to be served etc.

Sorry - I forgot to put that one down

Thanks for the suggestions do far.

Dont forget last year the Yacht Club Galley did a buffet brunch and buffet dinner, so if you aren't too interested in characters then this may be the place. Or a Christmas Day buffet at Fort Wilderness, not Trails End with entertainment from some of the Disney Characters, line dancing and a country and western band, you could get the boat across from the Contmeporary??
Just a thought as they aren't run of the mill meals at these restaurants.

We ate at 1900 Park Fare on Christmas morning last year. We enjoyed it very much. You're right about MK being too crowded. It definitely was last year. We were more than happy that we stayed out of the park that day!

Thanks Claire :thumbsup2 I think we will have to check the Yacht Club Galley out but I would be too worried with the no ADR thing about waiting ages for a table on Christmas Day.

Are you going to add it to your New Years itinerary ;)
