Hello!

Since we are flying home from WDW to Las Vegas on Christmas Eve, we figured we might as well make the best of the day and leave as late as possible. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge from the 18th through the 24th, and fly out at 8:30pm. I want to eat somewhere special that day since we usually have a nice Christmas Eve dinner. I figure we will have to eat around 4pm to have time to make our flight. Any suggestions? Last Christmas Eve we went to the Grand Floridian for the character dinner, so I would rather not go there again. I love new adventures, and know that someone on this board has an idea that is going to knock my socks off!!!

Anxiously awaiting your suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS in advance!!!!!!!

How about Boma! I think this would be a great choice for Chirstmas eve.

I would recommend Narcoossee's at GF or California Grill at CR.
If you want a character dinner you could always do Chef Mickeys.

Boma is the first restaurant that came to mind. I love that place. The food is amazing and it would be very convenient for you. I haven't tried Jiko, but that might be a good one too.

All the places mentioned sound like good choices however I don't think any of them open for dinner by 4:00.:earseek:

I think your best bet is a late lunch at a full service park restaurant or at one of the few nice resort restaurant that are open for lunch.

BCV23,
I didn't even think of that! I bet you are right about the dinner times. I actually like a late seating for lunch better so we aren't rushed.

THANKS SO MUCH to everyone for all of the wonderful suggestions! We haven't even stepped foot into the AKL, so I am very anxious to check out their restaurants.

I'm thinking maybe Restaurant Akershaus...maybe the Norweigian-snow-winter-atmosphere would help the Christmasy spirit. Or LeCellier just because it's a great restaurant! Or how about Artist Point? I know they serve buffalo....maybe reindeer as well? Sorry....sorry...kidding.....very bad joke....poor taste!!

Liberty Tree Tavern at MK serves a traditional dinner, and I think they have characters. I wonder if they would have dinner at 4 p.m. Also it snows in MK on Christmas Eve. I like to end my vacation at MK too.
