Please help me convince dh that one night at Royal Pacific is worth it?

We're staying in a villa for a week and I'm trying to talk dh into staying one more night on-site. We'd be checking in Thursday morning and leaving super early on Friday, so that would only mean one day of fotl.

Which park do you need fotl more for?
(We'll be going to the parks at least one or two days before we get to RP)

Do you have to pay for parking at RP?
(trying to make it sound like we're saving money, LOL)

How is the pool?
(how is it better than the pool at the villa for 5 yr old ds?)

Won't it be closer to the highway when we leave?

I'm thinking it will be the perfect ending, a treat at the end of our vacation, but I just know dh is going to think of it as a hassle and a waste of $.

Anything else? Thanks!

Actually............that would be TWO days of FOTL access - you would be able to use your room key ALLLLL day Thursday & ALLLLLL day Friday. Unless your schedule is demanding you leave early Friday AM, you actually can get TWO FULL DAYS of FOTL (more than worth it in my humble opinion!!! :goodvibes )

LOL! Yes, you do have to pay for parking - it's been a while , but the last prices I remember were (around) 7.00 for self park & 14.00 for valet (PER DAY)

HTH!!!!

I think the parking went up to $9 per night, $10 in the garage.

It can be worth it if you arrive early, check in, and your room is ready.
If you show up around 7am, it can happen. If a room is not ready, then you visit the parks with your magic keys and come back later in the day.
Either way, you want to visit the pool in the afternoon, then go back to the parks at night.

actually, I was the one who got "vetoed" out of Disney this year in lieu of UO. DH is the one all gung-ho about going...especially cuz of FOTL....that is his main thing...he cannot wait to NOT have to stand in line for hours!!! :teeth:

Well, he poopooed it, but said it was up to me. I think he liked the idea that we'd have an extra day since he wants to go to Daytona Beach for a day even though we're going to Siesta Key for a day, which only leaves a few park days with no time to chill in between. I'll just have to make it as hassle free as I can with taking care of check in, knowing everything I can about the resort, etc.

LOL, that's the problem, I've always planned it so that we've gone super early or when it wasn't busy, (or it has rained) so dh doesn't know how great it will be, plus when you compare a normal day at Univ to Disney, it makes Universal's non-fotl lines seem even shorter.

Not sure if we want to try to go to both parks on that day. We usually ride Popeye and Spiderman more than once, so I'm leaning towards IOA for the majority of the day, and Univ in the evening.

Off to check out the resort board, hate feeling jealous so I've always avoided it, LOL.

Thanks everyone!!!

Just thought I'd add that I made reservations at HRH, but I signed up for the Loews membership after I had booked on Universal's site with the Florida resident rate...kind of paniced because the RP rate was gone...am I going to be missing out on something since I didn't book on Loew's site?, the rate was the same. Thanks!
