So clueless here! I booked 2 different things:

DTD Doubletree suites (3/26-3/30) for $179/night + free cont. breakfast every day for all of us
and
Contemporary Resort (garden, same nights) for $199/night ...BUT would have to buy an AP.

I have never stayed at either one, in July 2001 stayed at ASMo. My dd LOVED it there, very Disney, but I thought the transportation was waaaay too crowded. We still had a magical vacation, though. There are 6 of us (5 + 1 under 3) so we need at LEAST a 5-person rm. Don't really care about space overly much. Is it really worth the extra $20/night + breakfast costs + extra cost for the AP to stay at the CR? We MIGHT, if there is ever a really good deal when my teacher husband can go again, hit WDW again before the AP expires. I have been all over Mousavers.com but without people directly addressing this question, I am just spending hours per day overwhelming myself!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!
Beth

Have you considered the fort wilderness cabins? They are great and have a full kitchen. You can walk to wl; take the boat to MK or WL and bus service to other places. With an AP for that time frame should be around 180/night. It has a bedroom with double bed, bunk beds, and a murphy bed in the living room. We love Fort Wilderness. It is loads of fun with a pretty boring pool area but petting zoo, campfires, movies, hayrides, etc. You could save a bundle just having a kitchen with that many people!! IMO, you loose so much not staying onsite. Are you flying or driving? Having a car at FW is nice. You can bring bikes and rent a golf cart...
We have the CR on our list to do, but only the Tower. I don't think the wing blds are worth the price versus other delux. The themeing just isn't there for me.

I've stayed in both. CR has the advantage of being in the middle of everything but I've heard the wing rooms need some remodeling. If you have a car, the DT was very nice. I liked the idea of having the extra space and large bathroom but that depends of how many are traveling with you. FW does give you the option of being onsite and having the extra space

Definitely stay at the CR. You can walk or monorail to MK and also take the monorail over to Epcot. The rooms are HUGE, and I've been reading lots of good things about the CR garden wing. We are booked there in mid March.
