I was looking through the Disney catalog and can't decide what Haylee should be. Some history first: She will be 13 months around Halloween. We trick or treat around our old neighborhood about 40 houses, but I know she won't make it that far. Her brother is gong to be a red Power Ranger and there is no changing his mind. We live in PA so it will be fairly cold. I've narrowed it down to Dumbo( which I loved since it came out, but Brandon was too big for it by that time) Dalmation (just too cute) or Tinkerbell(love it, but costume is light and not warm) or Pooh as a bee( I have this already, bought it on clearance,3 years ago, when I was pregnant, but miscarried, liked it then, but it carries bad memories, I know sounds weird) They are all the same price, except the Pooh Bee since I already have it. Don't let money make your decision though. No, we are not wealthy, LOL. But I just don't want that to be a factor. THX!!! for your help.

My DD will be 14 months old at Halloween and she is going to be Minnie Mouse (I think this costume is to cute). The Dumbo costume is really sweet also and I think that would be a great decision.

I would pick Dumbo also. Being a fan of Winnie the Pooh, I would have choose that, but because of the memories behind it, I understand since I am a mom that had a stillborn and have lots of things that was meant to be for him.

Dumbo.

I wish they had these costumes when my kids were little!! So cute!!

I wouldn't go for anything too heavy. We're in NJ and last Halloween it was in the 80s  . Tinkerbell or Minnie Mouse would be good because you can always layer underneath if you need to.

The Dumbo costume for sure, it is so cute!!

Dumbo. That is so cute.

 and I'm so sorry for your loss. :( You too mommytotwo . to you both.

What character does she seem to "lean" towards the most? That's the one I would pick.. ;)

I LOVE seeing those real little ones dressed up for Halloween - just too adorable for words!::yes::

I love the Minnie Mouse Costume. My youngest daughter was Minnie one year, and it's just darling. We're going to have Ariel and Hermoine (from Harry Potter) this year!

edited to add: Keep in mind that for the lighter costumes, such as Minnie and Tinkerbell, you can add clothing underneath. My youngest dd was Tinkerbell last year, and she wore tights and a l/s shirt under the costume. .. here's a picture:

That first big Halloween is SO MUCH FUN! After looking through the new catalogue the other day, I was wishing for a little one to put in that new Minnie costume. I did think the Dumbo was cute too, though. We're Southern folks, but we sometimes get chilly Halloweens too. My girls have worn the Tink and Cinderella costumes in freezing temps with white sweats underneath. The excitement heats them up! Have fun choosing!

I think going with Tink or Minnie and layering up would make the most sense. One year we bought a real heavy costume and it was in the 70's that day.

Your daughter will make a great Hermoine! You are going to have to share pictures of them in their costumes.

Thanks guys for all the replies. I'm still undecided. I may just buy the Dumbo, Tinkerbell, and Minnie then see which one she looks the best in, then return the other 2. Shipping is free through the catalog I think until Sept. 5th, Not sure what she likes best. At this point everything goes in her mouth. Wonder what would taste better, a fairy, an elephant or a mouse? LOL :)
