Please help me choose between AKL & AKV

Last minute decision to book so no time to research before booking. We can stay Animal Kingdom Lodge either Savanna or Arusha View or stay Jambo House Villa/Deluxe Studio Savanna view. With using the room discount on the later all rooms are within a few dollars of each other. Pool amenity doesn't matter as we won't be using it.

Has one place been refurbished more recently than another or are all in good shape? Do you prefer one room over the other? Which would you book? TIA

AKL & AKV Jambo are the same building. AKV Kidani is a different building. I'm not sure about the location of the studios at Jambo-I think they are on the 5th floor. The AKL rooms would have 2 queens (unless you book a bunk room) while the studio would have 1 queen and a sleep sofa. Some folks like being a lower floor to be closer to the animals.

This is true. Jambo has 6 floors. 6th being Club Level, and 5th rearranged & are now dedicated to be for DVC.. Kidani is all DVC, and I believe 5 floors. If pool isn't an issue, then I'd go w/ jambo. Either the lodge or Villa. If you'd prefer a lower room then yes you'll have to book AKL. There are more places to eat here though. Boma, Jiko, & the Mara(QS) along w/ Victoria Falls Lounge/bar
Also the main lobby/atrium is much more grand....The only drawback is that you get picked up 2nd for the parks, & dropped off 2nd from the parks.

Thanks or the information. Is it better to do lower floor verses higher one as far as viewing animals? I know I'd like a balcony. Do all the savanna view rooms have them?

There are only two of us so just a queen or king would be great. So excited it's worked to add on so we can do a three resort split.
