Please help me choose 2

I have all of my ADRs set, and need to cancel one. We are a family of 6 on the DDP. This is the first trip for the kids. DD9 (loves everything, big eater), DD8 (also loves most everything), DS6 (extremely picky, eats little to no meat, will eat some standard kid foods. Would live off of applesauce and Cheez-its if I let him), DS4 (another good eater). DH loves everything, and I love everything except seafood/fish.

I'm trying to decide between lunch @ Le Cellier and dinners at San Angel Inn & Cape May Cafe'. We've never been to any of these places. We all love Mexican (we do live in AZ, so we can get great Mexican here) except for DS6 who *might* do ok with the cheese quesadilla. I am not a fan of buffets or seafood, but I can get over those issues if it meant everyone would find something decent to eat at Cape May. As to LC, well everyone hypes it up and we've never been... so... We all love steak, except.. you guessed it, DS6. He'd likely get the cheese pizza or pasta.

We already have meals booked at CP (B), Ohana (D), Mama Melrose (L), T-Rex (oop, D), Rainforest (oop, L), Kona (oop, B), Garden Grill (D), 1900 Park Fare (D).

(Yes I know T-Rex & RFC are pretty much the same, but my kids love RFC and have never been to T-Rex. Plus I have gift certificates to make both meals free )

Thanks for you thoughts. I'm driving myself crazy thinking and rethinking my ADRs.

San Angel, IMHO, is fair at best. Dinner at Cape May is good, if you like fish. You don't. It also smells highly of seafood. Le Cellier used to be very good good. I just changed my lunch there for a Boma breakfast, though.
How about Teppan Edo? At least your little guy will be entertained!

San Angel gets poor to good reviews. Since you live in AZ and know what great Mexican tastes like, I think you'll be more disappointed here than at the other two.

We like San Angel! We also like Cape May!

Have you considered Biergarten? Very little fish (if any), and typically highly rated among picky eaters and kids. There's also a fun show that kids love!

If you are set on the ADRs you've already booked, I think Cape May would be good. My brother is allergic to seafood and still finds plenty to eat there. He does remark that it smells fishy though.

I'm a pretty picky eater and I had a hard time finding something on the menu at San Angel. Since you're use to great Mexican, you might end up being disappointed with the food. On a side note, the restaurant seems really crammed and it is very dim, which members of my party did not care much for.

I love Cape May for the variety. I do not eat any type of fish, and I can always find a decent amount of food and fill up there. Also, all of the fish and seafood items are on one side of the buffet (the buffet is a big square with 4 sides), so I usually avoid that area entirely. For your picky eater, Cape May has a kid's buffet that usually has mac and cheese, chicken tenders, fries and pizza (maybe not all at once, but its usually those foods). Plus there are simple food items at the buffet (mashed potatoes, veggies...if he likes them...).

I've never been to Cape May so I'm no help there.

However, I'm one of those that totally loves LeCellier. It is always my first pick of restaurants to go to. My DH loves it & Coral Reef equally. We always book these 2 every trip.

San Angel Inn I agree isn't the best food ever. BUT it is the prettiest restaurant at Disney I think. I love the eating under the stars there..is just a neat experience. Your kiddos would most likely think it a pretty neat place!

Thanks for your opinions. I guess I never thought about Cape May smelling like fish/seafood (I should have, though!). Not sure I could eat an entire meal smelling fish.

Si-am, I never consider Biergarten b/c I don't care for German food. I'm not sure if the kids would like it or not though.

I guess I'll keep Le Cellier. I'm still on the fence about SAI, but I can't seem to find anything that will be a good replacement. I was just trying to find a place that offered something other than the standard kids menu for my 3 kiddos that like more than just mac-n-cheese, burgers and cheese pizza. I don't even care if it's @ Epcot since we'll have parkhoppers and will be bouncing around anyway.

Last trip, LeCelleir was by far our best meal ( though the service was not all that great). SAI is ok, I'd say maybe a step up from a place like Chi Chi's. I guess with a large party, you'll never please everyone.

My family (me, wife, DD (9) and DD (7)) loved dinner at Cape May Cafe last year. I love seafood and the other three do not. There was plenty to choose from even if you don't like seafood. We loved just going to that resort to look around. We took the boat from Hollywood Studios to the Beach Club Resort. It was a nice ride. We all liked it so much that we decided to book it again this year. It was one of my favorite dinners ever at Disney. Hope that helps!

I've eaten at almost every TS at WDW and San Angel falls in my bottom 3. That would be the one I'd abandon.

We LOVED the atmosphere and the dessert was my favorite the whole time there! Our meal was just basic mexican i had a chicken quesadilla. Was good but something i could have gotten at home.

Our least favorite was Tutto Italia

Just don't cancel Le Cellier! We've been there twice for dinner and while I don't think it's worth ALL the hype, it IS good. Now that dinner is 2 credits, I think lunch reservations are much harder to come by...so enjoy it while you can.

What about Nine Dragons vs San Angel? We all like Mexican and Chinese food, but both get so-so reviews. Which one of those would you all chose?

My boys love Ohana and TRex. Did not enjoy San Angel, way too slow.

I agree, and they were the least accommodating with our food issue for dinner....we did lunch and found it better for our picky eater.
I love the atmosphere but the food is average to me...

Try Beirgarten you'll be pleasantly surprised. THe family will love the atmosphere.
