We are heading to disney Oct 16-25. We are spending the first 4 nights at Poly concierge and the next 4 nights at BWV. Our family me, DH, DD12 and DS10 have been to WDW about 6 times in the last 4 years. I would like to try some new restaurants but have gotten ourselves into a rut. You know what it's like, we tried it, we liked it, we'll go back there.

Here's where we normally eat..

Hoop de doo
Chef Mickey's
O'Hana
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Teppanyaki Steakhouse
Rose and Crown
Fultons Crabhouse
ESPN

I would really like to try some new places...any suggestion???

We like LLT for dinner
Boma for breakfast or dinner
Jiko for dinner... try these!!!
Have a magical trip!! We will be there Oct 1- 8th at AKL :teeth:

Have you tried Kona Cafe? I hear great things about it and it would be perfect if you are staying at the Poly.

I also hear good reports about Spoodles which is really convenient while you are at the BWV.

Another vote for LTT dinner ::MinnieMo

I understand the "getting in a rut" deal...I'm guilty of the same thing. :guilty:

Boma is awesome for dinner and a chance to try some new cuisine - don't forget to check out the animals!

Thanks for the ideas...I have eaten at LTT but only on Thanksgiving...is it the same menu? I'm very interested in trying Boma or Jiko, are they a lot different. Which dining experience would you rate higher?

You MUST try Kona Cafe!! It is my favorite restaurant to eat at in WDW.
I make it a point to eat there my first and last night of my vacation.

Some others I like are:
Rainforest Cafe - DTD
1900 Park Fare - breakfast and dinner - GF
Sci Fi Dine In Theater - MGM
Crystal Palace - MK

We have eaten at Kona Cafe before. I thought it was OK. Maybe a bad menu choice??? What do you recommend on the menu?

How about the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco for lunch?? Lamb with tzatziki sauce, hummus, couscous & tabbouleh with baklava for dessert. Yummy!!

I always get the Beef Teriyaki (I love this meal). My family tries other things. The ones I can remember off hand where the Prime Rib and the Macadamia Mahi Mahi. They have always enjoyed their meals also.

Oh yes, I know the rut well ;)

DH and I have been on a mission this year to try new places and so far, everything has been wonderful and made us sigh "why didn't we try this sooner??"

New favorites for us this year include Boma - I tried this first over Jiko because of the buffet style. That way if I didn't like the flavors, there would be other options. I loved everything I tried there though! It felt like a bargain for all the food I ate!

We also really liked Nine Dragons at Epcot. Fabulous service and really, really good food (not the standard American-Chinese fare I was used to). We got the sampler for two (or soemthing along those lines) and it was a ton of food for the money, and everything is delish.

We also finally tried Ohana this year, but you've been there! We gave a Hollywood & Vine a try at MGM and were pleasantly surprised. Also liked the Brown Derby, although the service was mediocre.

Be sure to let us know what you try!

LeCellier would be the first choice. Boma, Jiko,Tangierine Cafe and Kona Cafe to broaden your horizons a bit. The kids would probably really like Sci Fi or 50's PT.

Since you will be at BWV for part of your stay, how about some new places in that area? I highly recommend Spoodles, Flying Fish and Palio. We also enjoy Spoodles for breakfast and the character buffet at Cape May Cafe.

We have enjoyed many meals at Kona Cafe.. the menu is good all day. The same is true for the Grand Floridian Cafe.

I agree with all of the other suggestions, but would like to add Artist's Point to the list.
Tony's Town Square is also very good. (Especially the eggplant parmasean.)
