We are cancelling our upcoming trip!!:( I'm so sad. I previuously posted that I found out I was pregnant and would still be travelling to WDW............wrong! I was hoping this pregnancy would be different. I was sick for 9 months with both of my boys and I can't seem to break away from that. After talking with my ob and husband-the trip will be postponed.

We would have driven 20+ hours. We had planned on staying on-site as we did before but we will have to put our trip on hold!! I had a wonderful time at WDW and cannot wait to go back. I will have to remove my counter until we can decide when to schedule our next trip with baby #3!

I keep reading everyone's fantastic trip reports and can't seem to feel a bit jealous. I need some pixie dust!!!!

Sorry I'm so down-I guess the good thing about this is I will be sharing the memories with our newest addition!!

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip. I can only imagine how bummed you are. You're probably better off cancelling now, than having everything ready for the trip and having to cancel it last minute. I think that would crush me more.

You're right, look forward to sharing the magic with you new addition. Disney will always be there!

Nancy

I am sorry to hear about your trip. I was unbearably sick the whole time with both my pregnancies. You did the right thing. Your kids will have a much better time going when you feel better, and you didn't want to spend your whole trip looking for a place to throw up! Go when you all will get the most out of it. Disney is not going anywhere, and you will get to go as a whole family, new addition and all!

Sorry you had to cancel your trip, but if there was ever a happy reason to cancel this is it!

Congratulations on your new baby! Hope you and the baby every happiness!

Beth

This board is GREAT!!!! I appreciate your thoughts and thanks so much for the kind words.

I just knew you could help me feel better:D

We were lucky enough to be able to go when I was 3 months pregnant. After that, DH didn't want to go back until DD could enjoy it (at least a little bit). For a WDW nut like me, that was like a prison sentence, because we didn't really care to go anywhere else in the meanwhile. We had been averaging at least once a year at DW since our honeymoon in '99. I also work from home, so this house was driving me insane! But, fast forward to the present, DD is 1 today, and we will take her on a first birthday trip to DW next week! She may not totally comprehend everything, and she will most likely not remember, but I am so glad we waited until she could participate somewhat! We tested her at Chucky Cheese, played the CDs & videos, and she loves Playhouse Disney.
I guess my point is, even though it will be a long 9 months without your vacation at DW, take some time to dream about your Dbaby's first trip after he/she is born....it will cause your heart to swell, and you will have this pg time to plan it all!
Pixie Dust to you in handfulls!

I'm so sorry to hear you had to cancel. I also had difficult pregnancies, (the last I spent 4 months on bed rest, half of which was in the hospital flat on my back) so I feel your pain. Just keep in mind what a noble/self less thing you are doing for your child (and maybe he/she will pay you back by staying out of trouble when he/she's a teenager!!) Good Luck, you'll get there someday!

Sending you lots of Pixie Dust and Good Wishes! Congratulations on your upcoming addition to your family!

Sorry your trip has to be postponed. As difficult as it may be remind yourself that you didn't cancel the trip merely postponed it. It was not for just any reason; but for a very blessed one.

I never considered myself to be very sick when I was pregnant with DD. My doctor even cleared me to go to Europe when I was five and a half months pregnant. Shortly after our return I was diagnosed with pregnancy related Hyper Tension and pre-eclampsic. Very scary! DD was born six weeks early. Thanks to my doctors being prepared for an early delivery; she was able to breathe on her own from the moment she was born. Despite being 3 pounds and 5 ounces, she was only in the hospital for three weeks.

Disney will be there waiting for you and the newest addition. Maybe there will be a new Princess in training this time! Keep us posted and let us all know when your newest family member arrives! We are here for you whenever you need us. :grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: Pixie Dust coming your way!

Just think of all the fun your new baby will have when he/she experiences disney for the first time!

And make sure you plan some other way to pamper yourself.

Being sick at disney would be no fun!
