On Thursday evening 8/28 I lost my new Canon Powershot on or near the Jungle Cruise. I realized it pretty quickly and my family and some Disney Cast Members searched , but no luck. It has not been turned in to lost and found. I am heartbroken! I am offering a reward and honestly, if whoever has it wants to keep the camera - they can. I just want the card with the pictures and video of my two little girls at Disneyland. Thanks so much!

oh im so sorry have you called disney have you sent them emails they could have it in lost and found
ill pray for you

I hope someone turns it in, and you're able to get those pictures and video back!

Oh no, that is heartbreaking :( :( :( That is the worst feeling ever! I've lost my camera before, too, and it had some really special pics on it. :(

I wouldn't count on getting it back, someone obviously found it and if they didn't turn it in to lost and found before the end of that day, I dont think they ever will. :( And you know if a DISer had found it theres no way they wouldve kept it!!! That has got to be the crummiest thing to do to someone!!

Give it a couple of days. Sometimes stuff is turned in to a local store or cash register and it doesn't get up to Lost and Found right away. This happened with a jacket we had left behind and we did get it back. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you. Keep the memories in your heart and you'll be OK.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I feel your pain. I lost my camera while ON Indiana Jones about a year ago. I talked to a CM and gave my information. Unfortunately, my camera was never found. I mean I wouldn't blame them because how is it possible to find a camera IN that ride??

But it's different for everyone.. maybe they'll find yours.
Keep on hoping

That is the worst feeling! We lost our camera, or I should say it was stolen, at DCA back in March. We left it on a bench that we had sat down to rest on, wandered off, came back shortly after when we realized we'd left it there, and it was gone. We did file it with Lost and Found and called back a couple times a few days later, but it was never turned in.

Luckily, I had burned all the pics prior to our trip on my computer, but our 10 year anniversary pics were gone. We had gone to Catalina Island two days before and also had 2 days of Disney pics on there. We were more sad about losing those pics than the camera. :-( I hope some kind soul finds yours and turns it in! (((HUGS)))

I sure am sorry that happened! I did go along on the jungle cruise, during said evening, however, did not see a camera, nor did I hear anything about a camera being lost. I hope that it is turned in, and all is well.

How awful! That would make me sick. :sad1: I know this doesn't help now, but when we went I took a picture of a paper that I wrote on that said, "If found, please email..." and I wrote our email address. That way if it was found by an honest person, they would have a way to contact us to get the camera back to us. Just thought I would add that in case it helps someone else in the future.

I have a lable maker and have my last name and cell number on all of my camera's and video camera. That way if someone that is honest finds it I can get it back quickly. I know this does not help you but I hope it can help someone else in the future.
Do keep calling DL just in case. :goodvibes

Thanks for all the good wishes. I too believe someone just decided to keep it. I can't believe someone would look at all the pics and video of someone else's children and not care!

I wish that people that take flash photography where it is not allowed would loose their camera, instead of people that follow the picture taking rules, like I am sure that you do.
My vote as well goes for continuing to contact Dl. guest services to enquire about your camera. It may just show up, before next week is over! :)

I sure hope your camara turns up!! I totally understand... i would be mad be mad to lose my camara but it can be replaced where as all the pictures you lost can't!!! I always hope that if i were to lose my camara they would atleast return the memory card i mean they cost what $10 now a days!! I hope you can get atleast your memory card back if not the whole camara!!!

Believe me I feel your pain , I just returned from my daughter's make a wish trip and we lost our video camera on the trip back , don't know exactly where but we suspect the airport. The good thing is I had done most video and taken all the pics with a different camera but I lost like an hour of video from disneyland.
Hope you can find it.

Ugh yes, that part made me ill...knowing that some creep saw all the pictures of our family and STILL decided to keep it and just delete them all. Its just heartless. :(

:sad2: Blurg... So sorry, I know exactly how you feel. Same thing happened to us in May. I left our camera in the "convenience" pouch of Soarin' Over California. By the time I realized it and ran back there, it was long gone. I've never been so mad at myself in my life. Did the whole Lost and Found thing. Filled out the forms, but they never got it back.

Luckily for us, it happened early in our trip and I was able to go to Costco the next morning and get a new camera. We made up for it in spades and took about 300 pictures the rest of the trip and the holster for that dang thing was never off my belt for the rest of the trip. I almost slept with it on.

I can really relate. Someone stole my video camera outside our room at the Caribbean Beach Resort during our once-in-a-lifetime family trip to WDW. I was heartbroken, esp. since it was a Christmas gift from my dad.

i actually lost my $220 pair of sunglasses in disney studios on my trip to disney world this Jan. I went sunglass less for 3 days. Checked lost and found, filled out a report. A week after I got home I got a package in the mail with my sunglasses in there. I was shocked.

i have hope for you.
