and everyone I work with is sick! :sad2: I've planned this trip for a year and I don't want to get sick, or my DD to get sick! :sad2: How can I not catch it? I'm sanitizing my hands and work area like crazy! I'm taking extra Vitamin C, today at lunch I got some ColdEze, because I was starting to feel a tickle in my throat (but it's been off and on for about a week). Anybody have any suggestions to keep us healthy? My DD just got done with an antibiotic for an ear infection, so I think she'll be ok. I hope so.
I don't want to get sick! I've waited so long for this trip!
Thank you! :)
We'll be in WDW in 9 days! Can't wait! :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :bounce:

Like ColdEze, there's a product you'll find in any drug store that's recommended for teachers and people who will be traveling by airplane -- the idea of it is that it somehow boosts your immune system when you are around (or have the potential to be around) people who are sick. Of course at this minute I am drawing a blank on it's name -- someone else will pipe in, or you could really ask at any drugstore. I work in a school and some teachers swear by it. But the most important thing is your positive attitude and taking care of yourself!

Airborne?

Keep doing what you're doing and get lots of rest. Even if it means going to bed every night at 9:00pm.

get "airborne"it's an alka seltzer like product that comes in a round container developed by a teacher. Take it at the FIRST SIGN of a cold, or in your case, now, since you're getting ready to leave. They also have a lozenge you can get that contains the same active ingredients. Have fun!
p.s.-how can I add those cool little square disney related pictures to my posts?
Thanks
:cool1: pirate:

take airborne, wash your hands alot, dont touch mouth, eyes, nose. Use lysol wipes on everything and spray lysol. Good Luck!
Remember, being sick at Disney is still better than being at home feeling good!

I totally agree with PP! And get some vitamin C into you, either from food or supplements.

And keep your spirits up! ;) A good mood goes a long way to helping you stay healthy. I don't know why, but I always notice that if I worry too much about getting sick and if I get annoyed with the sick people around me, I end up sick.

Just take a multivitamin and a few choice herbal extracts - it's the same thing as Airborne. If you'll look at the package for Airborne closely, it says NOTHING about treating colds, sniffles, etc. - just like every other herbal remedy. Don't doubt the power of the placebo effect though!

Best advice is to wash your hands religiously, don't stress yourself more than necessary, get a lot of rest and drink a lot of water. Regular hand washing is hands down the best way to keep from getting sick.
