get rid of it!!

I tried to get on my msn home page and I was so sick and shocked to see some "warning" that I have explicit sex photos and to get rid of them I should download some virus ware.

I have mcafree but it still won't go away!!

I am not sure if its a fake pop up to try to get me to buy their software or
what it is..

ITs just sick and if my son was on the computer I would have been so upset.

Hmm, I haven't see one of these things, but I would definitely bet that it is just a pop up from the internet which has nothing to do with what is actually on the computer. Can you not click the x to make the window go away? Or does it just keep coming back each time you try to go online?

Sorry I don't know much about pop ups or how to get rid of them.

Doesn't sound for real. Go ahead and run a scan, but it does sounds like a pop-up. Maybe post what you've run into over on the Txh Support board...maybe they can help with more specifics.

Maybe power-down you computer and then turn it back on...sometimes if you re-boot that can take care of issues.

It sounds like spyware. Try downloading adaware (it's free).

go to microsoft.com and download their free Defender program..it constantly scans your computer for spyware and will let you know if there's some that needs to be deleted..sounds more like spyware than a popup to me

alt+F4 often works for things that seem not to close when you hit the red X button, btw.

If I remember correctly, I had a problem like this and it was diagnosed as having an open or exposed port (?) that was hacked. I had mcafree and it seems to have issues with protecting against this. There is a way to close the port, but I defer that to any experts out there who can help.

really though, go to lavasoft. You have a ad, not a virus. the virus software will not catch it.
