Hi y'all, this is my first time posting here and I apologize if I'm not in the right place. I need some help. My family is going to WDW for the first time in December, and I'm having issues trying to find food everyone can eat. I personally don't eat much meat (I will if I have to but I prefer not to as it makes me a bit sick), my father has stomach ulcers and can't do greasy/spicy foods and is also a bit lactose intolerant, and my mom likes flavorful food that isn't classic "oh, we're at a theme park" meals- so trying to exist purely on pb&j's is out. For the most part, when I'm scanning the menus or watching reviews, I'm seeing a lot of meat/grease/melted cheese/sugar, none of which sits super well in our stomachs. And I would truly love to be able to function on funnel cakes and slushies for the entire trip, but that seems a bit out of reach.

What are some favorite places to eat at or favorite snacks/meals of yours in WDW that aren't greasy/meaty/sugar bombs? We will be visiting Epcot/Hollywood/Magic Kingdom/ Animal Kingdom on various days, so suggestions across the park would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Edit to add on- Should have specified, we're looking for mostly QS locations in the parks. Also, thank you so much to everyone that has commented! I really appreciate the help and am starting to feel less like I'll end up starving my way through WDW :earsgirl:

I hear great things about Satu‘li Canteen (QS) in AK. I don’t know how spicy it is. Comes as beef, chicken thighs, shrimp or fried tofu.

Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl*
Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef marinated in a blend of Garlic, Herbs, Red Pepper Spice, and Red Wine Vinegar topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls served with your choice of Base and Sauce.

Also at AK, Flame Tree BBQ.

Smokehouse Chicken Salad
Pulled Chicken on top of Mixed Greens Salad tossed with Smoked Cheddar, Diced Granny Smith Apples, Dried Cranberries, Cornbread Croutons, Crispy Onions, and Barbecue-Ranch Dressing

1/2 Chicken
Marinated Slow-smoked Chicken served with Signature Baked Beans and Coleslaw

Do check out the veg/vegan sticky. Start at the back, it was started very long ago

you may have the best results w ts customizing meals.
You also never have to get a combo meal. If you want the grilled chicken sandwich w/o fries that’s fine. Order it that way, no problem.

Also keep checking menus. Changes happen all the time.

what would y’all eat at home that doesn’t cause problems? Are you looking for TS or QS meals?

Check out last year’s Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT to see what the food booths were offering. Quite often popular items will repeat or new ones will follow a theme.

Sounds like the Chinese/Japanese lane might work for you - I've booked Morimoto's for my family (I'm a mix of all 3 of your family) in Disney Springs, but if I was in the parks, I'd probably look for those cuisine options...

Mostly looking for QS meals, we might be able to do 1 or 2 TS, but I'm not sure. At home it's a lot of pastas, rice, veggies, etc. I haven't heard the best things about Italian food in general in WDW which gives me some hesitations.

There is tons of traditional theme park style food available, but other options as well. You listed a lot of different types of potential restrictions, why don't you list what your family CAN eat and people may have a better chance of directing you.

I have a dairy allergy - don't do Italian - cheese is in everything:). And if it's not cheese, it's cream. Not to mention, it'll be a heavy cuisine:).

With your group's needs, I'd do Satuli Canteen in AK, Katsura Grill in EPCOT (Japan pavilion CS), Docking Bay 7 in HS...and I wouldn't CS in MK. I'd eat sitdown in the park or head to one of the CS's at the "connected" hotels.

Edit to Add - If I had to pick CS in MK, I'd probably do Tomorrowland Terrace and stick to swapping in the oranges for fries so the fried doesn't get too much - fish being the "lightest" of the fried food category:)...(I can't have tree nuts, either, but you may like the salad)...

This is pretty spot on!

It's really had to get lighter fare at MK.
The fajitas at Pecos Bills, sans tortilla, can be a healthy choice.
Colombia Harbor house has a salmon plate with rice and veggies(not sure when it will reopen though).

Don't forgot Sunshine Season at Epcot as well. Variety of options there they tilt towards the more healthy side.
