Hi there,

We are planning a Swan/Dolphin wedding, but we are having great difficulty getting the date we desired (or even close to it!)

I just thought I would try to weigh how much more $$ it would be to upgrade to a DFTW.

We are interested in a Friday afternoon ceremony, 65 guests (5 of whom are young children), lunch reception....

Would this be possible without going over 10K or is that not possible?

Thanks!:goodvibes

From my limited knowledge, its possible, but you would be very constricted. Like, you would have to spend at least 10 000$ because thats Disney's lowest minimum, but your reception would have to start before 2pm, and be a maximum of 4 hours long. You'd have to pick a cheaper lunch menu, etc. It would be tough for me personally because I'd have to seriously skimp on basically all decor, but its definitely do-able.

The minimum is $10K for a breakfast or brunch reception, your ceremony can be held at Epcot starting at 9:00am or at a resort location/Wedding Pavilion starting at 10:00am followed by an hour of cocktaila and 4hrs of reception. With 65 guests you will definitely be hitting the $15K mark or more but again it depends on what you get. I'm having 45 guests and we are already spending $18K and we are using an outside florist, photographer, videographer, linens and chair rental. If you really want a Disney wedding but want to stay close to the $10K minimum, if you can, you might want to cut some of the guests. We are really hoping that some people say no so that $18K goes down.

I think you would have to have the event on a Monday thru Thursday in order to have the $10k minimum. If you wanted a Friday event I believe you have to spend $12 minimum.

Actually a $10K minimum is available all week long as long as the reception start prior to 2pm

What month are you trying to book your wedding in? We're trying to decide still, and didn't realize the Swan would be busy :confused3
