My name is Jenna and my FI is Ben. We just got engaged last night. I'm so happy I want to tell it to the world. We are both HUGE DIS fans! So happy to found this board.

I want the best DIS wedding I can think of but i'm so overwhelemd I don't know where to start, please help!! tia :moped:

WOW money is No object? wish i had that problem!!

There are LOADS of options - lots of people have been married at the pavillion - it really is stunning!

Anyway welcome to the Dis and congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Congrats on your engagement!!! Do it all!! You can have the Cinderella carriage with all the horses...at the wedding pavilion...with the individual small cakes for all....have a blast planning!!! :thumbsup2

If money is no object, get married next to Cinderella's castle, or any other attraction/ride (during closed hours of course).

Wow--seriously...i'll help you plan:) Is there really no budget? How many people are you going to have? What theme/colors do you want? What time of day? Any idea where? A lot of us have gotten married at the Wedding Pavilion...

It's going to be 200 pp, or those who can make it since it's a dest. wedding.

I would like to have soft pink and chocolate as our colors, but i'm open. Or white and ever so softly yellow.

I didn't know about the individual cakes. Does anyone have pictures of that?

Thanks so much everyone. i'm going to love this place. :cheer2:

With 200 people, your reception/ceremony areas will be limited. I'm assuming that you don't want a convention center location for your ceremony. The WP (wedding pavilion) is probably your best/only choice (unless they let you do a theme park wedding)for your ceremony. What date are you looking for? I love your color choices--that should be beautiful...it would look really nice in the American Pavilion--but you can only do that late at night.

I would love late at night because I want the lighting to be beautiful in person and in photography.

I would like to have the wedding sometime in fall of 07.

btw, when is the weather the most comfortable for guests in Fl.? :sunny:

I would pick late Oct through March. I would also contact Disney weddings as you can already be assigned a sales manager for next fall.

And yes you can have an in park wedding and reception. For the Magic Kingdom there is a $500,000 minimum but you can have much more reasonable wedding inside of Epcots world showcase.

Oh and if money was no obkect I would have a wedding pavilion ceremony followed by a MK reception and something in the Pirates ride.. even if it was just the cocktail hour or anything.

I would agree, I would check about doing it at the castle, and the carriage and all the characters and an MK reception! That would be awesome. Check out the wishbook on the disney website and it will give you a little more information.
You can have a Mad Hatter Tea with all the props, characters and linens for around 10,000 - I am going a much more scaled down version than that, but that would be really awesome!

Congrats! Money not an issue, I also wish I had that problem! The possibilities for you are endless!

Love your colors! Have to have the characters at your reception, and an Illuminations Dessert Party (the pics I've seen on this board are gorgeous!)

Well, congrats again!

Wow, if you decide on a MK wedding please keep us all informed on here!!!
I don't think we have had anyone doing a MK wedding yet have we girls??
I would love to hear all about your planning at every stage, and I am sure others would too!

Imagine being married under Cinderella's castle?? A true fairytale wedding that would be.
I would love to be a fly on the wall at one of those.

Congratulations to you both & a very warm welcome. XX

Congratulations!!!!

A big welcome to the Dis. I can't wait to read all about your wedding plans. We are getting married at the end of November next year and have already got a contact with Disney. I think they now have their 2007 prices out as Tanis Armstrong emailed me yesterday but that is for an intimate wedding.

You will find so many helpful things on this board.

Keep us updated :yay:

Congrats, and I want to hear all about your wedding sounds great...
If you cant do MK I'm a big fan of AA in Epcot (our reception was there)

Good luck
Love your colors
