We've now received our letter of agreement and are going through it to check that everything is accurate.

We have a couple of queries which I'm not sure on the answer to so hoped someone would be able to assist please!

-How long is allocated for the ceremony and cake cutting? (We are getting married in the WP at 2.30) I thought it was 2 hours but we have only been given 1.5 hours.

-Can we extend the reception (in the Key West room) to more than 2 hours? We were hoping to drag it out a bit in case we do have a DP in EPCOT!

-Can we extend the length of the DP, without paying extra, and if so, how long may we be there for?

-Lastly, what is the deal with the $7,500 minimum thing? Everything clearly states that this applies to weekend weddings and there is no mention of weekday weddings but it has been included in our letter.

Thank you so much for any advice you can offer! :)

Adding the reception (private catering event) triggers the $7500 minimum.

Any private catered event, such as a dessert party, triggers the $7500 minimum regardless of what day the wedding is held on. Weekend and holiday Escape weddings also automatically trigger the $7500 minimum, I believe the 1.5hr timeline is pretty firm, but they may let you extend for an extra charge. Sorry I can't answer anything about the DP- we didn't want to have the $7500 minimum so instead we're all going to the public Tomorrowland Terrace fireworks dessert party. If you haven't already, head over to Passporters and pick up lurkyloos weddings and honeymoons book- it's filled with tons of helpful info. She also does a weekly podcast that offers a lot of info as well. :goodvibes

Receptions added to Escape weddings are limited to 2 hours, although every once in a while someone reports they were told they could have one for 3 hours... You can extend the DP to about 2 hours; there is only a charge if you also extend food service, but it isn't really necessary, usually - there's plenty of food in the included hour!

I had an escape wedding, and my reception was more than 3 hours, and my DP was more than 2 hours. I have no idea if this had anything to do with it, but my budget ended up being more than the Wishes minimum, so that may be why I was allowed to extend mine :confused3

I can't remember the time frame we were given for the ceremony and cake cutting. I know we were at our ceremony site for almost 2 hours, and that didn't include cake cutting, since we had our cake with our recetion. It basically included a 20 min ceremony, and a lot of picture taking!

Yes its 1.5 hours, I extened mine though, it just depends if another escape wedding is booked in afterwards

Mine over-ran to 2.5 hours anyway. Going straight from a reception to a DP is not good on the food front, we did that and none of the DP food got eaten
