I read this in my Passholder News
---Exclusive Passholder Offer!
Nighttime Guest Admission
Now through August 18

• For a limited time, Preferred and Premier Annual Passholders can purchase a nighttime Florida Resident guest admission for just $19.95* plus tax (valid after 5:00pm), per person for up to 6 guests. ---

Now I thought this meant that as Non Florida Res PAP holder, I would be able to purchase something that is usually only available to Florida Residents. My coworker interpreted it different. Can someone help?

Sorry If this is posted elsewhere, the search function wasn't compliant with my request.

Phamton is our resident ticket expert but...the way I read it is...IF you're an AP holder (doesn't say if the AP holder has to be a FL resident), you can purchase night time tix for FL residents at the special rate. They might have to show ID to prove they are FL residents. That's the way I read it. :confused3

Thanks. I was hoping you didn't have to be a FL resident. Since my family is not.

With your AP, you can purchase after 5:00 tickets. Don't know why it says FL residents as I haven't seen or heard of any restrictions.

Edited to add: I just opened our annual pass newsletter and it says this:

"Now for a limited time, Annual passholders can purchase a nighttime guest admission to either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure (one park only, valid 5:00 PM-10:00 PM) for a great low price. It's a way to bring your family and friends to experience all of this summer's nighttime fun. This is a special offer for Florida residents only (each guest must have a valid FL ID) and you can purchase up to six guest tickets per Passholder.

that's actually a very sweet offer. we buy a few of our daughter's friends power passes each year, but this is blackout time. for twenty bucks we can get them in for the 360 show.

Power Pass isn't blacked out now.

Here are the blackout dates:

2007 Dates:
January 1
April 2-7 (9:00am-5:00pm on the 7th)
July 1-8
December 23-31

OK, I feel totally STUPID now. we were waiting to renew our AP's at the lower rate because we thought the PP's weren't good until the first of August.

did I mention I feel STUPID?

No need to feel stupid. Most years they are blacked out for most of July. And Disney's FL resident are blacked out right now, I think.

I was surprised that it was only blacked out for one week in the summer. So don't feel stupid.

WDW just sent us an email allowing us back in a week ahead of the end of summer blackout date, like they always do. missing UO's is my fault, because we decided to skip the tourist season in Orlando.

So with an AP I can get after 5:00 passes and how much do they cost?

You can purchase the after 5 for your friends and family. Power Pass can purchase them for $24.95 and Preferred annual passholders or $21.95. It is for one park.
