Backstory: Next month, DD 4 and I wil be staying at BWV for 2 nights and moving to VWL. We are planning on going to AK before checking in. I am considering Cape May Cafe for breakfast and Flame Tree for lunch. We will probably be on the DDP (possibly deluxe - depending on DVC segmenting issues :scared1:) and we've not been to either restaurant before. I am so torn! At Narcoossee's, I would get the lobster; DD is excited about having her own steak (and can also share some lobster). She is well behaved at restaurants, but the 8:30 fireworks reservation there would make for a slightly long day. Although we fairly frequently stay at AKV, we've never dined at Boma. We could stop there after AK for a 4:45 reservation before going to VWL. Where would you pick for dinner given my situation? :confused3

Is it just going to be the 2 of you? If I was traveling alone with a 4 year old, I wouldn't be wanting to do many buffets just because of the logistics of helping a 4 year old and getting my own food.

Narcoosees has a lot of children dining at it. Your daughter should be fine there. I think the food at Boma is pretty good, in fact I prefer it to Narcoosees. I'd choose Narcoosees because it's a table service rather than a buffet.

Narcoossee's is a much better meal, in my opinion, at a higher price.

I don't know how your 4yo holds up over the course of the day, but our 4yo fell asleep at the table at an 8:30pm 'Ohana dinner this past may. I might suggest an earlier dinner and watching the fireworks from the Poly beach if she was still going strong. Especially if dinner is at all a challenging time. It wounds like your 4yo is excited about the choices at Narcoossee's, though, which could help. Enjoy!

You make a good point about the buffet, so they definitely is a strike against Boma. I looked to see if I could get an earlier reservation at Narcoossee's and nothing was available. I think we might be able to get in a nap at VWL before heading out to dinner, and it wouldn't be the end of the world if she fell asleep during dinner ;) Definitely leaning towards that option.
