Please help asap!!!

Tried to make a payment using my debit card. Didn't go through. Finally it went through but it charged the full amount... 5,000. Good news is trip is paid bad news is no money for bills. I'm in deep. I need to cancel this. Has this happened to any one before. If it helps i have a credit union not a bank.

Mistakes happen. I am not sure if you should call Disney or your Credit Union first. I "think" you should start by calling Disney and ask for a reimbursement. I think the concern is even reimbursement take several days. If your credit union is friendly they will tell you who should take what action to reverse the charges.

i will call my credit union first. They have always been wonderful and they are local. I know mistakes happen.... Don't think dh will feel the same way

You need to tell him ASAP.

"I made a mistake, I clicked the wrong button and paid off the whole trip of 5,000 instead of the xx I was planning, I'm going to fix it and call the bank and then Disney, but right now we don't have any money till this is fixed. I'm sorry."

I have found if I tell my husband about any mistake I make , then say I will do x and x to fix it and what the effect will be on our family, he really doesn't get mad at me, he trys to help solve the problem.

then call Disney
plus do you have any automatic payments coming out of that acct? you might have to call them to delay it.

Mistakes happen all the time like this so me! I call my credit union and they help me out a lot! My wifi freezes and then I pay off full amounts more than id like to admit!

Thank you for the replies. Didn't sleep much. I'm going to call my credit union when they first open and hopefully they will help. They are wonderful so I know if it's at all possible they will help me. If not would calling disney help? I just don't know if they would return a payment.

I can commiserate with you at least. Last month on a Wednesday evening I decided to be proactive and pay a bunch of stuff early. Pretty much every bill for the month. Wiped out the checking account because we were getting paid in the morning. Except I was off by a week and we were getting paid the next Thursday. Wasn't a huge deal but I didn't want to pull out of savings or use credit cards. We had to a little, but it was a tight week. I felt so dumb.
Luckily dh fancies himself a funny guy and only responded to my text with "Don't worry mistakes happen all the time.. to you..".

My credit union couldn't do anything but disney is reversing the charge. Yay.... My trip still shows a zero balance so hope that changes quick. Then I can breath. Thanks for everything

thanks. Nothing's changed yet but hopefully soon. I had to call a couple of places to change ach dates and everyone laughed and said it has happened to them
