PLEASE HELP: Another traffic/driving question

We are leaving DL on a Friday. Our flight leave out of LAX at 9:20pm - we have to return our rental car to enterprise rental car. . . what time do you suggest we leave Anaheim by? I was thinking between 4 and 5pm. Is 5.5-4.5hours before our flight enough in order to get there, drop off car, check-in, check luggage and go through security? If it were you what time would you leave by? We want to get as much as possible out of that day at DL but also do not want to miss our flight! THANKS!

Well, I've never gone from Anaheim to LAX, but I fly out of LAX a lot and usually park at a parking garage that is near the car rental locations. I usually arrive at the parking garage less than 2 hours before our flights and have always made it with time to spare.

I always do curbside check-in because the lines are shorter than checking in inside.

Just call Enterprise and see how often there shuttles run to LAX. But I think your allowing plenty of time just in case there is traffic. Which freeways to plan on taking to LAX??

Varies, are you traveling alone or with your family?

heres how i see it, to travel in LA, you need around like 1hr 30min WITH traffic. either way, if you cant make it in that period then you just overlap it with your 2 hours. Shouldnt be a problem checking in late.

9:20PM Flight
7:20PM Arrival time
5:50PM Leave Disneyland (Travel Time)

Might be a little tight but i think it be great. If you dont really have much to do, you can leave early but HAVE TO LEAVE before 5:50 at the lastest.

You can also ask at your hotel. They usually have a good idea of the traffic and time of day and when you should leave by.
