Ok, I am booked at Pop from Sept 14 to Sept 24th, thru a travel agent here in Australia. We haven't booked admission tickets, but I'd be willing to just get a one day ticket at this stage and add on later once we figure out how many days/what type we want, just so I can get the free DDP.

So what I would like to know is if I ask my travel agent to add on Free Dinning will she be able to? Or does the booking have to be done thru Disney? While my travel agent has been vey helpful she's not very qualified when it comes to Disney knowledge and nearly tried to charge us $AUD46 return for Airport transfers until I told her about DME. So I am wondering how I can explain about the free DDP to her. Can anyone help, perhaps some fellow Aussies who have experience with this last year?

Thanks everyone in advance.

The booking must be with Disney (or AAA). I'm not sure if it works the same way in Australia as it does in the US, but if it does, then your travel agent should be able to book with Disney for you, but may apply a surcharge for doing so, instead of using a room for their own allocation (if any). That is, of course, if she's willing to do so. Good luck.

really?! I was hoping for a better answer than that! Thanks anyways... I may have to see if i can cancel the bookign and book thru Disney, we've booked a whole heap of accom and airfares with them so hopefully won't be a problem.

I can only give the best answer that there is -- no better! :rotfl:

Do keep in mind what I wrote, though: Your TA may be able to book through Disney for you.

hahaha, I was just hoping for an answer that I wanted to hear thats all!!

Yes, I think I'll find out who exactly they have booked with before I take things too far! All might not be lost yet...

I would call your agent and ask if they booked it for you thru Disney or if they used a 3rd party vendor. If they say straight thru Disney simply ask her to call and add the ZHU promotion. Granted you might have to change resorts or rooms if your current isn't available. If she says they went thru a 3rd party then I would see if there are any cancelation fees and then decide to cancel the trip and you call Disney direct and rebook for the promotion. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Amy.

I went to the travel agent today and the booking has been booked thru a 3rd party vendor, who when we rang them to find out if we could apply free dining was most unhelpful. So now I'm just waiting for the travel agent to call me back and let me know if there will be charge to cancel the Disney part of the booking. (We have only paid a deposit so far, and we have other accom for NY, LA, and Vegas for the same booking) so it shouldn't be a problem. So all going well, I will probably book thru Dreams Unlimited. It looks like we might have to change to an All Star resort thou, but we're happy because we'll still get free food, and we'll prolly only be a the resort to sleep and shower!

Does anyone know if Dreams Unlimted can book ADR's for you? Or if there is a way to do them online, I'm just trying to avoid, massive long distance/international phone calls.

Thanx everyone for there help!

HI Erin!

Checking Dreams Unlimited's website DDP is listed under "Current Package Offers", so I believe booking through them may not be a problem.

Off topic...where in Melbourne are you located? We have wonderful friends in Endeavour Hills. We loved strolling along St. Kilda's and around the Yarra toward the casino!

Hi Mike

Thanks for that, it turns out that once I finally decided to go with the quote that Dreams Unlimited had given me All Star Sports had 'sold-out' so now I'm going with MouseEarVacations who also do ADRs. The TA we are dealing with there has been wonderful and said that if avaliablity does come thru for Pop (we are currently at ASSports) then we can change it over thou she said not to get too hopeful!

So now I have the daunting task of picking restaurants etc Thankfully I have all the Disers to help me out! :disrocks:

In Melb I live in Essendon, so on the other side of the CBD to Endeavour Hills. Yes St Kilda and the Casino is a great place to have a wander!
