please Help! 2017 Panama Canal or Transatlantic?????

why is WB better than EB TA?
You gain hours going WB. You set you watch an hour ahead for 5 days straight going EB.. The TA's have a lot of time changes.I dont think it maters on the pc cruises. Losing 2 hours in 14 days going from San diego to Galveston is no big deal. Im suprised people even bring it up.

On PC cruises you loose/Gain 1 hour between San Diego and Cabo San Lucas and between Puerto Valarte and the PC. Panama is on the same time as Galveston, Florida is an additional hour. Not much, but it's a bonus.

It's difficult to price the airfare from Copenhagen because it is too far out to get pricing in May, and you don't say where home is for you, but I priced Copenhagen to LAX the other day using dates in March and got pricing of approx $241.00 per on Norwegian Airlines - I was surprised by that price.
Well, dang, that makes it WAY more comparable for me. Also, the hotel savings beforehand will be much better on the EBTA due to not being the week after Easter.

Are the EBTAs that bad with regards to time changes? I have been planning for the PC cruise for 3 years, I am not as up on the TA cruises.

What's the kid situation on the TA cruises? Similar to the PC?

I worried about this so I switched to the WBTA. My dh is like "what difference does it make your on vacation". He does have a point. I really like the itinerary. Were not going to get see Copenhagen after our Iceland cruise due to time constraints, and I love the fact that the ship overnights there. Like you, I can't decide. I may book both, and think about if a few months. The EBTA and WBTA are both great itinerary's and the prices are good. I would love to do both.

If your going to Europe and will spend for time sightseeing here and there, then I would say a Atlantic crossing is worth the money and the flight home.

If not, I would suggest the PC transit., reasonable and lots of relaxation time.

What ever you decide, enjoy your cruise.

Honestly, if we do the EBTA this time, we will do the PC cruise eventually. If the WBTA was longer, I would probably consider it more. For only 11 nights and ending in New York... meh. We tack on a trip to see my family in Orlando when we go to FL, so that is definitely a draw for the EBTA and the WBPC (cruising out of Canaveral) and ends up saving us money in flights.

Also, the TA being cooler definitely is a big plus for DH - he is not a huge fan of the heat and humidity.

March and June airfare will be different, with March much cheaper. However, early June is still not too bad, much better than end June/July Aug., which is very high.
