WE are a family of 6 (me, DH, DS7,DD5,and my parents). WE are thinking of trying Wispering Canyon on our first night. WE would like this to be a nice dinner for my husband and my Dad for Father's Day. We really don't need anything fancy, I have looked at the menu and like what I see. How is the food and service? Will the kids like it? Thanks for your help.

WCC is a very popular restaurant. Therefore you will see lots of positive & negitive reviews. In fact someone just had a top 5 & bottom 5 list and WCC made both lists if I remember correctly.

We really like WCC. We have 2 kids (7 & 3) and they love the fun things the cm's do during dinner. The have stick-pony races and get pretty rowdy with those who want to join in on the fun. It is a noisy place, with lots of activities going on.

The "all-you-can-eat" dinner is served family style. Anytime you want more of a certain item just ask and they will bring some out. We have never had a bad server here. They also have a very good breakfast. We think the food is very good and we never miss eating here at least once each trip. We have stayed in the WL the last few trips so that makes it a little eaiser, but I think we would try to get here even if we were not staying at the WL.

Have fun!

---I just noticed that we will be at Disney the same week. Maybe we'll see you at the WCC! Your flight/car must be leaving at 5:00am on 6/8! Our flight leaves at 6:10am!

Our family went here after our first full day at WDW. We LOVED it. Our family included myself, my DH, our two boys (5 yrs and 20 months at the time), my parents and my mother in law. our five year old had a great time at the Lincoln Log table in the wait area, and participated in the pony races twice. Very funny stuff. 4 of the 5 adults ordered the skillet and everything except the stew was delish. My Mom got the pork chops and she said they were excellent. Our server was so-so, but all the other servers seemed cheerful, very funny, and on the ball. My parents liked it so much, they went back their last night and took our boys while we went out on a date. They said it was just as good the second time. FYI- It's LOUD, but that's part of the fun of it. I don't recommend this restaurant if you're tired and not in the mood for yelling and hootin and hollerin.

It's a favorite of mine because I enjoy smoked food and the skillet dinner offers a nice variety. It's a fun, family restaurant, and only recommended if you're in the mood to laugh and enjoy other people having a good time (not if you have a headache, are really tired, or are looking for quiet solitude). In addition to the skillet dinner, there's a small menu. DH has enjoyed the steak several times. We've had a great time with our waitperson's shenanigans.

Thanks for all the great info! I will be sure and tell my parents and see what they think. Maybe we will try this a night other than our first night.

Brutus- We were going to leave 5am Sunday morning, but have recently decided to leave one day early. Hope to see you around!

We had dinner at the WCC and had a great time. The food was hot and fresh and our server was very good. My kids loved the pony races and all the antics were fun to watch, some guy sang *you are my sunshine* for a free kids meal when we were there. At the beginning of the dinner they rang the dinner bell it was cute.

I want to add another thumbs up! We ate there for the first time earlier this month and it was great! We didn't get the skillet. I had the glazed pork chops and they were very good. My DM ordered the meatloaf (mystery meat as our server called it), she said it was very good. I loved the mashed potatoes. My son had the mac & cheese with corn and he ate every bit. We also had a frozen mudslide, very good. Our server was great! She decided that my mom was an easy target. We did this on our last night and was a fun way to end our trip. We will definitely eat there again.
