We love Mama Melrose (a lot of people don't, a lot of people do!). I love the 4 cheese flatbread pizza; my DH loved the chicken parmesan. The desserts were quite good too. We have always ahd good service. We have not dined at Garden Grill since our kids were probably like 11 and 9 (and they are now 22 and 19) so I can't really comment on that one. I do know when we were there, it was not family style--I vaguley recall ordering off a menu, but could be wrong. We are trying Whispering Canyon Cafe for the first time this year--we were FINALLY able to get an ADR. We have not dined at any of the others. I thought I read that Nine Dragons is closed (or will be closing) for remodeling.

We've eaten at all those except Nine Dragons. This past trip we tried Spoodles for the first time and OMG! It was very delicious. I had their signature baked ziti with sausage dish and it was yum. The appetizers were huge and yummy, we had two flatbreads, mussels and the dips. All were yummy and huge. Their steak kabobs were perfect. Everyone loved this place.

Raglan Road - I got the Shepherds Pie and it was AMAZING! My leek soup was bland though. My dessert was very tasty. I can't wait for my next ADR there!

Nine Dragons - I had the pepper beef. It had a great flavor and the beef was really tender.

You may want to try checking on the restaurant review board. I have Raglan Road and Yachtsman in my last review series. Most of your list has been covered in recent weeks/months by others.

I have only eaten at Raglan Road and Garden Grill.

Love, Love, Love Raglan Road - went twice on our last visit, in groups of 6 adults. Everyone adored their food.

Garden Grill - great for character interaction, but the food was a bit bland for us. Certainly edible though if you want to see the characters.

Mama Melrose - If somebody I was with really wanted to go to Mama Melrose I would go without complaints. But it's not somewhere I would get really excited about or book on my own. I found it rather middle of the road.

Raglan Road - Flame blockers on :cool2: because I'm not a big fan of the music they play here. I like Celtic music, just not while I'm trying to have conversation over my dinner. :) That being said... I love Raglan Road. (I just go when there's nobody performing.) The food is fantastic, the atmostphere is relaxing and it's just a really lovely place to be. :thumbsup2

Nine Dragons - No thank you. It's not undelicious as Brenda would say, but it's a lot like the Chinese take-out I'm used to getting at home, only more expensive. I wouldn't refuse to go if somebody else was paying though. ;)

Spoodles - This one I've never been to, but have always wanted to try. Sorry I can't be of more help here.

Whispering Canyon - I have to be in the right mood for this place. There's a lot going on and there's always the possibility that you'll be right in the middle of it. But the food is great, the milkshakes are AMAZING :lovestruc and I highly recommend it.

Yachtsman Steakhouse - No help again, I've never been here. :sad2: I know, I dissapoint myself too.

Garden Grill - Delicious, interesting and there's a good chance Pluto will put your whole head in his mouth and make slurpy noises into your ear. ... At least that what he does to me. I hope he's had all his shots. :lmao: Garden Grill won't let you down.

We ate at Raglan Road & Spoodles this past December and liked them both. We have been eating at Spoodles for several years and have always had good food & service. My wife had the Sheppard's Pie while I had Fish & Chips. They were both very good. I would of liked more fish though considering the price. I had the butterscotch bread pudding for desert and it was fantastic. My favorite desert of the whole trip. Have fun.

Whispering Canyon - We really liked it. The food was good. We especially enjoyed the pulled pork and mashed potatoes from the skillet. We also had breakfast here and really loved it! Our plan is to end our vacations with breakfast at WCC from now on

Mama Melrose, very bland food

Yachtsman, awesome...it was the best filet ever

Spoodles, breakfast was horrible but dinner was pretty good.

Out of your list, the only two restaurants I would recommend would be Spoodles and Raglan Road.. I have eaten at all on your list, and some are worse than others, I cannot recommend them for various reasons.

Spoodles on the other hand is consistently good food, great service, and a bustling wonderful Mediterranean restaurant. Raglan Road was for dinner and we had good service, interesting food for us, and entertainment which was enjoyable....

We've been to all of these (over a fairly long period of time).

Mama Melroses - good in the Studio. I'd rank it second in Studio sit-down dining behind Brown Derby and slightly ahead of 50's prime-time.

Raglan Road - Sorry, I just don't "get" this place. It was OK, but not up to the raves that it seems to get here on the DIS. Maybe if you've got some Irish in your family tree it might be different for you. We weren't impressed with the food or the service. But the Guinness was good. :drinking1

Nine Dragons - don't bother, you'll get better Chinese food in your home town for much less $$.

Spoodles - good choice on BW. Not great, but definitely a comfortable place.

Whispering Canyon - It seems to me like the attraction here is the antics rather than the food. Oh, the food is OK, but I wouldn't make a special trip there just for the food if that's more important to you.

Yachtsman Steak House - Outstanding. One of our absolute favorite places to eat at WDW.

Garden Grill - OK place for a character meal. Price is a bit high, but its a unique experience in a restaurant that slowly rotates. Food was good - not great but certainly acceptable.

YMMV

I've only eaten at Garden Grill - and sorry to say, it's the one and only time I've ever had a bad restaurant experience at WDW. It was so bad, it doesn't even warrant "another try".;)

I've only been to Spoodles, LOVE it. The appetizers alone (mussel dish is amazing) are worth a trip there, along with the Sangria!;)

Mama Melrose - a family fave... love it, been twice, going back again!

Raglan Road - pleasantly surprised... we went for lunch so it was quiet... food and service were outstanding... would definitely go back!

Nine Dragons - DHs fave epcot restaurant (and we've tried a lot!)! everything was excellent, service above average...

Spoodles - have not been, but it's on our "short" to-do list!

Whispering Canyon - haven't been either, but would like to try it sometime...

Yachtsman Steakhouse - plan to try when we stay at BC this fall!

Garden Grill - love it! love it! love it! our fave character meal on property! a must-do every trip!!!!

liberty tree - good but not great... once was enough (even though we went twice! LOL!)

Le Cellier - disappointing both time... expected above average, received mediocre...

Coral Reef - very nice... enjoyed a lot! would go back!

50's prime time - very disappointed... likely won't go back... food was okay, service stunk, no fun interaction, despite our having a big group of goofy fun diners!

Sci- Fi - again, disappointed... food mediocre, service below average... atmosphere fun...

hope that helps :)

We've eaten at Spoodles several times, including our last trip in December. It has been great. The appetizers on the menu are wonderful, and the entrees are delicious. It's definitely a bustling place, and high energy (read sometimes noisy), but very fun and a great meal. We plan to eat there again. Also a nice option if you are planning a day at Epcot, but want to have a meal outside of the park, but without tons of travel. Highly recommend it!!!

I have only eaten at two of the places on your list.

Mama Melrose - We were very disappointed in this place. The food is very bland and the service was worse. Not one of our favs at all.

LTT - We make it a point to go there once a trip. The food is comfort food. Good but not gourmet. We enjoy it and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The character interaction at dinner is super one of the best in WDW.

On the list that your thinking about, I have only eaten at Mama Melrose's. I have to say we did not have a great time. My wife's food was terrible(pasta dish, almost liquid like pasta) my son's steak was suppose to be well done and came out practically still mooing.(Had to send it back twice to be cooked) My dish sausage, pepers and pasta was really good.(at least I couldn't complain about my meal). The service was terrible. The waiter would often disappear for long periods of time, would not refill drinks when asked, had a real crappy attitude, and treated us like we were inconviencing him.

It will be a long while before I go back to that rest. again.
