Please give me your input on my plans for May!

My party consists of two adults in reasonably good health. I've been obsessively planning and feel I have a good balance of scheduling and downtime, but you know how it goes: I crave feedback from those more in the know than myself. Please let me know if you see any major problems:

Friday, May 4:
  • Arrive at Riverside around 2-3.
  • I have FP+ scheduled starting around 6 in DHS and want to see the SW fireworks for May 4, but I'm considering just going to Disney Springs. It'll be up at 5 to drive to Orlando and we'll be up early again the following morning
Saturday, May 5:
  • MK rope drop 8 AM. Head left and do Frontierland and Adventureland attractions standby until lunch.
  • ADR at Liberty Tree 11:55.
  • Head back to resort for pool/nap.
  • AK FP starting at 5: Safari, FoP, and Rivers of Light at 9:00.
Sunday, May 6:
  • Sleep in. Get to Epcot for FP starting around 10: Spaceship Earth, Mission Space, and FEA.
  • Head toward Flower and Garden booths at 11 (FEA FP is at 12). Hoping to try them for lunch without super long lines, but with it being a Sunday, I'm not certain how it'll work out. Will want to go to La Cava for drinks, also.
  • Evening: DHS for SW fireworks or DS, depending on which one we didn't do arrival night.
Monday, May 7:
  • Resort and pool day-- or whatever we feel like during the morning and early afternoon.
  • Ohana late lunch/early dinner at 3:30
  • Trader Sam's for drinks after dinner
  • MK FP+ starting at 5:25: PP, Space, 7DMT. If we can't make it to PP by 6:25, I won't count it as a huge loss. Happily Ever After at 9 and stay for EMH 9-11. Never managed to close down MK and am determined to make it until 11 PM this time.
Tuesday, May 8:
  • Sleep in after EMH, and the rest of the day is free to go wherever the wind may carry us. I have Flower and Garden down in the afternoon if it proves unmanageable on Sunday.
Wednesday, May 9:
  • AK EMH 8 AM. Rope drop Navi. FP starting at 10:05 for FoP, Dinosaur, and Everest.
  • Lunch at Sanaa at 1:45
  • Free evening: Boardwalk, Disney Springs, or park of choice
Thursday, May 10:
  • EP EMH 8 AM. Rope drop Soarin. Take it easy on Living with the Land and The Seas until FP around 10 for Test Track.
  • Lunch at Biergarten at 1:20.
  • Free evening: Boardwalk, Disney Springs, or park of choice
Friday, May 11:
  • No morning plans, but I have a FP for Navi in case rope dropping it fails. We love AK anyway and probably will want to go again, maybe more to explore the trails and conservation station (and Dawa Bar).
  • Dinner: Rose and Crown 8 PM, hopefully with a patio table for Illuminations

And we go home Saturday, May 12th.

Things I hope to squeeze in during unscheduled time:
-Jellyrolls and Abracadabar- Boardwalk
-Looking around Grand Floridian and maybe having a drink there
-The Void at DS along with several bars and snack stops
-Festival of Fantasy parade, but I doubt it. 3 PM isn't an ideal time to be in MK in my opinion. Maybe we'll do this on that last Friday before taking the monorail over to Epcot for the evening.

I would just go to Disney springs or hang out at por after you get there. Dh and I don’t like heading to a park on arrival day because we are usually too tired.

I think going to sw fireworks on your Epcot day makes sense. We actually just did that and we even had enough time to do rides and watch fantasmic before sw after being at Epcot.

On your second Epcot day it would make more sense to me to do the boardwalk instead of Disney springs. We ate at beaches and cream at beach club and it was so good!

Might be too late now, but I'd swap the safari to the day when your going to be in AK early. Animals more active in the morning. Also I wouldn't waste a FP on Na'vi and would double up on FoP, unless you've never seen it. It's a one and done for us.

Sounds like a nice, relaxed pace and with just two adults it's pretty easy to get so much done. My only change would be just to stay put at the resort after you arrive on May 4. With an early morning, long drive and RD the next day, I would just chill out at the resort. But then I'm not a huge Star Wars fan so I'd be ok not having to see the fireworks on May 4 and do it a different night.

I am thinking along those lines too. I think we will be tired from the drive and maybe want a relaxed pace. Definitely a good idea to do Boardwalk after we're already at Epcot!

I actually plan on rope dropping the safari right after Navi on our AK EMH morning. We love the safari and want to do it twice! I've got two FoP and will just rope drop Navi without spending an FP on it. I just grabbed a "just in case" one on a free day if that doesnt work out for some reason.

We are huge SW fans, but I think you're right anyway. I'm definitely leaning toward a no-plans evening for arrival day. Seems a shame to waste the opportunity to take the boat over to DS after we check in. If it weren't May 4th, I wouldn't even consider going to DHS.

Then by all means go! There are so many good restaurants there and it could be a fun way to kick off your trip. Forgot you could do the boat - easy!

We had planned to go this week but life got in the way. Most important thing that I see missing is May 5-7 Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits) is playing 3 concerts a day in the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot. A must see for us! Have a great trip!

The nice thing is you can easily get there and decide last minute if you do want to go somewhere instead of just sitting at the hotel. We just don’t buy a ticket for arrival day otherwise we would go.

Rope dropping Navi is so easy. We showed up a little after 9 when the park opened at 9 and walked right on it. I will say though that the Safari doesn’t open right away and they let you in early for pandora. So after we did Navi there was a huge line of people waiting for the Safari to open. We ended up skipping it and went to ee instead.

Sounds like a good itinerary!! Have a great time!

Only suggestion I have is that any days you feel like doing half day park, then relaxing and lounging (if that even happens), I suggest doing on Hollywood Studios days. It's the smallest park currently with the least amount in total of attractions.
