Foot flusher here. If my sister sees an employee in the restroom, she'll watch them like a hawk. if they don't wash their hands, she marches right to the manager. She works in the medical field and says that public restrooms are unbelievably nasty. She says they rank a close second to strippers' poles. I didn't even want to ask about that one.

I'm a foot flusher too, no way am I touching that handle.

I agree about the bad aim - I hate it when you walk in and the seat is totally wet. Gross! And I'm talking about women....

One time someone posted a sign on the mirror in the ladies room at work to sing "twinkle twinkle little star" while you wash your hands to make sure you did it long enough!

I hate washing my hands in public restrooms - they are FILTHY. I don't touch anything in restrooms - I open doors with my elbows, and I'm definitely a foot flusher. As soon as I get outside the bathroom I douse my hands with anti-bactieral gel (which I carry everywhere) - I think my hands are cleaner that way than washing them in the bathroom. I used to work in a nursing home and this was encouraged by the nursing staff.

I work in a restaurant and our bathrooms are onesies, meaning only "one person at a time." And they're the old fashioned kind with the tanks on the back, not automatic, nothing fancy. So many times a woman will come up to me and discreetly whisper, "the toilet in the women's room won't flush." 99% of the time it's only because the tank on the back didn't have enough time "between people" to fill enough so the next person could flush...so they couldn't flush, so the next person will go in and think "oh gross, why didn't they flush?!" They probably tried and couldn't!

I am a "foot-flusher"... who knows where someones HANDS have been. Yuck... Then.....I still wash my hands! I also open the door with my shirt over my hands or try to somehow open the door without actually "touching" it. LOL!

And really, how, exactly, do people who are sitting ON the seat (or hovering right OVER the seat) MISS IT????? Someone, please solve this mystery!!!!!!!!!! In any case, when you turn around to flush, do you not see that you "missed"? Gosh, wipe it up PUHLEEEESE!
