Please explain??

Hey guys: can someone please explain the reward programs to me?? I've seen stuff about getting the disney dollars, but I'm not sure where to go to start. I'm getting the Disney Visa and from what I understand for every 100$ I put on that I'll get 1$ in DD's. I don't know of anything else! Thanks!!

Rewards programs award you "points" in exchange for clicking on banner ads, doing searches, shopping thru their portals and doing signups thru their sites. Some also send "paid" emails, which award more points when you click thru the link contained in the email.

The points that you earn can then be exchanged for prizes. Many prizes can be used to help defray the costs of a WDW vacation. Some of the better rewards would be Disney Dollars, Webcertificates and Supercertificates. GCs for Walmart, Target, gasoline and phone cards are also some of the better rewards for WDW vacations.

In my opinion, some of the best programs are MyPoints, CreationsRewards, ClicktotheMagic, PCHPoints and LuckyPoints. They all send their rewards in a reasonable amount of time and have good customer service.

Some others have slow-to-pay reputations. Among them are Memolink, MileSource and ePoll. Those sites eventually pay but take months to do so. If you are going to WDW soon, don't waste your time on those programs.

Keep in mind that you are not getting something for nothing here. You will get a lot of SPAM as a result of doing rewards programs so it is a good idea to set up a separate email account for just rewards. You can get free email aacounts at Hotmail.com and Yahoo.com.

There are some great people on this board who know alot of ways to get the most out of each program. Read the stickies at the top of the board and don't be afraid to ask more questions.

I personally like Mypoints the best, you get points for doing all of the things madforthemouse said but, I get most of my points
thru my emails somedays you'll get 0 and others you got quite a bit. I've cashed out with Mypoints a few times and they have by far the best choice of rewards(no Disney dollars 0 but, if you like
Rainforest Cafe they have those that's the next one on my list.

order the webcertificate which is actually a prepaid mastercard.
You can order the plastic card itself and use it just like a credit card (up to your limit which is the amt of the webbies) but this cost $6.95 and thats alot of clicking!!!

Some people have had problems doing this but what I do is printout the page from webcertificates that shows your name, account # and exp date.

Take that to TDS and have them run the card through the machine manually andbuy $DD with it.

Sometimes it takes alot of explaining but I can't see spending almost $7 for a card even though its only a one time charge.

Another way you can use if you have ressies call and just give that # over the phone to put on you account.

Actually this works for anything you order over the phone.
