Please explain the YES program to me & can anyone give a class review?

I've read about it, just don't quite get it.

We do not homeschool, can we still participate?

From my understanding, these tickets are for kids that take some sort of a class while at Disney? Can parents go to the class also to observe or is it a drop off thing? Yes, I'm "that mom" that doesn't often leave their kids.

Are the discounted kids tickets for kids only?

Not quite sure about it....we only get to Disney every 2 or 3 years, not sure if the kids would want to spend time in a "classroom" to save a few dollars. But if the class was "cool" enough, they may love it!

I can't answer all your questions, but will give it a shot.
YES Program was originally for groups, such as home schoolers, etc.

I just booked a class for my dd14 (the name escapes me right now, but she will be learning about science/Arts and Production maybe). Anyway, the class is several hours, for one day. You are allowed to purchase a certain number of extremely discounted park tickets when you "enroll" in a YES program class.

Since my dd is 14 I will not be attending with her. Her "class is for ages 14-17. They also have the same class for ages 7-13 (I think). So you are basically grouped with kids of a similar age. You are required to attend with the younger kids.

ANd that's it. You attend a short class, learn interesting things and get a great discount of tickets. You have a choice of number of days, capped at I beleive 8 days, park hoppers, water parks, etc. I purchased 4 five day park hopper plus tickets for under $800!!!!!
