I received the video and it helped very little to understand the value and gow it works. I know nothing about timeshares and have never even thought about it before. Me and wife, as well as my brothers family and my parents, go to WDW about once a year. We would like to go more. We went on the Cruise and loved it. Is the DVC for us? What does it cost? How do you save money? Any information from real people about this would be very appreciated.
Basically, you buy at least 150 pts, which costs about $12,000. Every year you will automatically get another 150 pts to use, and the only other money you pay will be your yearly maintenance fees of about $4 per point. I bought in 97, and a studio will cost me about $65 per night, all costs included. It's actually alot less, because if you sell your points you will get your original investment back, at least you will if the market continues to hold up. I bought at $54 and now they are selling for at least $80, so my investment is safe for now. Since a studio is about 14 pts per night, you can get 2 or 3 short trips in per year.

Thank you, that was very helpful! I can't believe that it's so easy.
