Please explain "add ons"

The ink isn't even dry on our resale and look what I'm asking about! haha.
I see people talking about add ons at different resorts. If I have 230 at OKW and add on 80 at BW or HH what does that mean and what does it entitle me to?

You can buy additional points through Disney (add-ons) at any resort. Minimum purchase is 25 points. You get the same use year. If you buy at a different resort, it simply means you will have home resort ressie advantage at that resort with those particular points. For example if you have 200 at OKW and 50 at HH you can use them all at any resort with the 7 month window but only the 200 OKW points can be used at OKW at 11 months out and only the 50 at HH at 11 months out. Some buy 50 to 100 points at a second resort for a once every three year trip--bank the 50, next year borrow 50, and thus you have 150 points for a trip

I don't believe you can get add ons at BW or OKW. these are sold out resort although some people had mentioned getting on a waiting list. I was told that there is no more waiting list for add ons.

I would suggest getting in touch with a resale broker who may have some smaller contracts now and then for sale.

The only advantage of owning at another resort is you have the 11 month window at the resort the points are at only.
