Please excite me...Sheraton Vistana...

My husband and I are traveling in January with my mom and 12 year old sister. My Dh and I planned on staying on property because of the convenience and magic of staying on property. However, my mom is a timeshare owner and can get us into the Sheraton Vistana for 2 weeks at a much cheaper rate than on property. I have looked at the website and it looks very nice but I am still not excited about staying there. What I am looking for is some positive comments on how much I will love it, how close it is to WDW, good restaurants either on their property or nearby. Someone please excite me!! Thanks! Dawn

Which Vistana are you talking about. The resort or the Villages?

I own at the resort and if that is where you will be staying, I love it there. 7 pools and 4 restaurants counting pizza hut.

It is about a mile from WDW.

DH & I have owned at Vistana Resort since 1999 and we absolutely love it. The grounds are lovely, restaurants are excellent, pools are wonderful and on and on. This year we went to Williamsburg, VA instead and although it was nice, DD & DS asked, more than once, "Why didn't we go to Vistana this year?" (Not Disney...Vistana)

VR is only 1 mile outside and very easy to get to. You are going to have a great time!!! We're not going till July, so I'm a little jealous that you only have a little over three months to wait vs. our 9.5! Can I come with you?!

Thanks for the info. We booked Vistana Resort yesterday for 2 weeks. I am already starting to make our itinerary of what we will do on what day. We are hoping for warm weather so we can take advantage of the pools and lovely grounds. The past couple January trips have been quite nippy! Thanks again! I am sure we will love this resort.

We just came back from Vistana resort and loved it. we stayed in the cascades section and were very impressed. Great pools, grounds, and things to do. We would go back in a second to stay there.

It is very close to WDW. It is on 535. When you exit the resort on 535, turn right and then take the next right. It will take you to Osceola Parkway which goes right into WDW. You can also hang a left, go under I4 and get right to Downtown Disney area. We had no problems getting onto WDW property or to the other parks.
