please ease my fears--booking first time on line

Im getting ready just to bite the bullet and book our Jan stay--I guess Im somewhat gun shy is our first DVC trip a few years

ago I had to cancel the night before since DH had the flu--so those points went to holding--I was just learning the basics of
reserving holding cancelling etc
so having points in holding threw me in a tailspin

Ill need to borrow 23 points--were hoping to change at the 7 month to a lesser point resort so if Im understanding this right
so in order to book the new resort theyll first use my borrowed points then go in and use our UY 2021 points

I am just so afraid to doing something wrong and well lose points--we only have a 100 point contract at POLY so we usually have to borrow some points and at some point well run out of points to borrow

exp our POLY stay is 105 points we have 82 so Ill borrow 23 to make the POLY at 7 months OKW is say 70 points so when I change theyll first take the 23 borrowed points from the 105 and then use 35 points from the original 82 leaving 47 points to be banked then by march 31 2021

Im sorry for asking this but Im not good with doing this type of thing on line and I dont want to make any mistakes

What is your UY? That helps.

If you book a reservation with 105 points, and 23 are borrowed, and then want to changed to one for 70 points, you will have 35 points returned to your account,

They will be your current UY points and providing this change happens 31 days or more in advance of the trip and you are still in your banking window, you can bank.

I will say, with all the rescheduling going on, be aware that changing out at 7 months may not be as easy as it once was, especially for studios.

thanks thats what I figured but I keep double checking myself--I understand about the 7 months also

hard to say which way this will go--either people will book anything and everything just to get traveling again and getting some normalcy back in their lives or the very unfortuant ones that lost so much that wont have the resources to do much else but survive thanks
