I've been following your precruise postings for sometime now.....I think Your DH; just enjoys making you figet and feel uncomfortable...I think I'd first suggest he dine at Topsiders or room service and if he is insistant I'd let him go...and just ignore him...dress to the nines and ignore him.....

Seems he gets emence pleasure out of making you miserable...

1) I would leave his a** home!
2) I would go on the cruise with your son and have some great quality time.
3) I would file for divorce as soon ad I got back on grounds of ABUSE..................................Thants what I'd do

Hey Barb...it's me...Mr. Upgrade...(sorry..couldn't help it) but I think you should just step back and let him make his own decision on the cruise...if he truly does not want to go...you go with your son and just enjoy yourself.....and yes....it is always nice to have the whole family together....but...bottom line to me is you having a good time....My personal take on this is he may be just pushing your buttons....and since you said he does not have a suit that fits him...maybe he is self-concious about things...not making excuses for him...but in my really heavy days I avoided anything that made me dress up...cause I couldn't wear sweat pants that stretch.....and yes..I have lost the weight(and put a couple of pounds back on) but I can relate to how people feel with that....so now my question...it seems like everyone is talking about black suits and tux's....last year..and the year before I wore my blue suit....now I have another blue suit that fits me....should I go out and get a black one? I do have 20 days to do it if necessary....but I did feel pretty good last year on formal night and having a nice picture with the wife....Thanks all...and did I mention it is 20 days...almost 19 to the "MAGIC"!

For many months now I have witnessed the treatment you have had to endure. I agree with Buckeroo's dad and 4cruisinraiders.zurgswife and lovethat mouse,. he does seem to enjoy pulling your chain,. and you keep asking people what to do... We do keep telling you dear but you don't seem to hear...
So at the risk of being called an insensitive jerk I will spell it out//


You husband seems to enjoy torturing you and making you jump through hoops with if/and /but senerios.,

you do not seem able to just tell him to grow up or f*** off

you are looking for others to give you strength and or acceptance
I do feel for you and would greatfully spend time with you but the crap your husband is pulling I would NEVER accept.

I think you and your son should go on your own. Leave the man you married at home.

I truely hope that after all the money (yes we are in the over $5,000 catagory) and time planning that I have spent on this trip- (what some people spend on a used car) that I do not have for a table mate someone like your husband! This is to be-at least for our family a wonder/ellegant/glamourous/special time. Mu 41st birthday will be on the ship in the dining room! You on the other hand I would welcome.
To my family this is a special time, not like a backyard BBQ and I would hate to have it ruined by someone that does not understand that., I would not wear shorts to a wedding either.
If your DH is a great guy other than what we have been lead to believe than by all means bring him and TELL him to eat somewhere's else, don't ruin your/ DS's or anyone else's unforgettable formal evening by him!
