Please, don't shoot, just asking!

You will be fine with 3 little ones in those rooms. They are smaller but it isn't like you are even in them that much. I guess some people get upset over extra people in the room? Not sure why. If you don't mind being a little cramped - go for it. I hardly think Disney is getting screwed out of any money in the deal.

A few of my comments about the value resorts: There is room between the two beds at ASMO for a pallet. My son is 10 and he had no problem putting the full size sleeping bag we brought. The moderates also have double beds incidentally. This was the first time DH and I had slept together in a double bed (used to a queen). We dreaded this but didn't think we could justify deluxe category for 10 nights. Guess what, we never noticed any difference. DH is about 5'11" so not the tallest guy in the world but it was fine. Yes those rooms are on the small side but these people who act like you will be sleeping in a cubby hole must usually stay at very large resorts. We had four people for 10 nights and did not feel cramped. We will be staying at Pop Century beginning next weekend and don't anticipate any problems there either. At ASMO you can put the empty luggage under the bed which saves room too. A friend told me that Pop Century has no under bed space so already told DH we can take the empty duffles and put them in the suitcases and put them in the car trunk if our empty luggage makes our room feel cluttered. My point is that when you are on vacation, especially Disney it is amazing how things like bed size won't bother you as they would at home!

It is a matter of fire code. If you have 2 adults, 2 children 3 and above and one 2 or less, you will be fine. You can talk to them and see what they say... but if God forbid, something happen in the resort, they would be accountable for everyone there, and if you haven't listed one of your kids as staying in your room because you have 5 people instead of 4, then you have a problem for resort accountability.

It is up to you, but that is why the rules are there.

They'll all fit fine in one bed so if you want to, go ahead and do it. My husband, daughter (9 months) and I all slept in one bed at ASMu in December. My daughter doesn't sleep in a crib, so there was no point in a pack n' play there, so she slept with us. My husband was only there 2 nights, so the 2 it was just me and my daughter, but I also made a wall of pillows on the other side of her so it was basically like a 3rd person.

Not that I don't believe the fire code stuff, but what difference does it make if her kids are all over 3, or one is under 3? I would think the addition of a pack n' play would actually create a bigger hazard in a fire in those tiny rooms.

If you don't buy a pkg, then no your tics are not on your room key. If you purchase you tics ahead of time, online or at the disneystore, they aren't on your room key. They are only on your room key if you purchase them at the resort or you purchase them in the myw pkg!

You do not have to get a package to have your room key and park pass on one. You can do a room-only res and have your tickets added on as "key to the world" and they are still on one pass.

I agree that they will be fine. My sister has slept with 5 in ASMO and her kids were older (teens). They took turns with the beds.
Also a friend of mine stays at ASMO twice a year and each trip is for 11 or so nights. She squeezes...get this...7 people in 1 room. I couldn't even imagine! The funny thing is, she is quite well off. She could afford to stay probably anywhere on site. She just chooses to do this and has been for many years. By the way, she still also uses the old mugs from their first stay at AS many, many years ago.

It may be against the "rules" but that is your decision to make. I don't know anyone who had never broken a rule before! :D

You are kidding.....right!!!??

The rules are for YOUR safety!!!!!
What if there is a fire! Or some other emergency!! And the resort doesn't know about the 3rd child!!!! They would never think to look for him!
If one of the kids is under 3 and still can sleep in a crib...go ahead.

BUT.....if not...then you need to either get 2 rooms at the Value, or head over to POR (the only moderate that allows 5 in a room!)

I don't mean to be rude....but if you can manage the cost of BC, then you should be able to manage the cost of 2 rooms at a value. If you can't then consider 3 days at the value and cut the BC off by one day.
Overall 2 rooms at a value is A LOT cheaper than one room at BC!!

Again, it's not that I don't believe the fire code stuff, but if there i a fire, the firemen will not be holding a list from the hotel's front desk and call out each person's name as they put out the fire. A family might not even be in their room when a fire happens so they'd be wasting their time searching for each person listed for each room. And I know that even if I don't list my kid on my reservation (which I do, and she's 10 months old so it wouldn't even be an issue of room capacity) I'd be telling everyone I saw that I can't find my daughter if there's a fire and I don't know where she is. Obviously I'd take her with me as I ran out of the room, but if God forbid something were to happen and I somehow lost her, I'd be shouting it all over so the firemen and everyoen else would know there was a "Madison" missing.

I do agree though that the 2 value rooms would be a better alternative, but since it's not me, if the OP wants to get one room, I don't care. They'd all fit, and that's basically what she wanted to know.

Not kidding! True story.

I also understand the fire code rules but I have to agree that in the case of a fire, they will search each room without a list of names.

Only if you purchase it at the resort. Trust me I used to work at All Star Sports, I used to sell park tickets. :earboy2:

Yeah, this fire code stuff makes no sense at all. A child age 3 years and one day is a fire hazard, but two days prior they aren't????? If they can be under three and within fire code, surely they can be over that age. Maybe we have a firefighter among us and they can explain how this works....realistically!

Or is it really that Disney just wants to make more money? This is what I think is the real reason, which I am fine with actually!

Thank you everyone! I had a feeling this would stir up some mess. I understand that it is against the rules, but something came up and we were going to be in Orlando 2 nights earlier than we planned when we made our reservations for BC. Yes, we are staying at BC, but any extra money saved for just 2 nights would be helpful. My kids are 4, 5 and 7 and I will discuss what everyone has said with my husband so we can make a decision.

Thanks for all your help!!! :earboy2: :earboy2: :earboy2:

For entrance into EMH, you need a resort ID....only those on the reservation will get a resort id.

So are you saying that all of the CMs at CRO have no idea what they are talking about? I have had this offered to me about 5 times since the new tickets in addition to there being an entire thread about this on these boards. I don't have to purchase my park tickets at the resort to have the key to the world. All I have to do and DID, mind you, is call CRO and have the park ticket added to my resort, pay for them and BAM, there we have it. One ticket for each person, with our names to be printed on them, that will get us into our rooms and into the parks. Check your facts.

We stayed in the All Star Sports Sept 01. Me, wife, and MIL with our 2 boys - 3&5. No problems.

Bytheblood, you're right, you can call and buy park tickets and have them added to your room key. I think the point is that you can buy tickets online, at the Disney store, or at WDW and they won't be on your room key. APs are also not on room keys. So the OP will not have to get tickets on room keys.

Really? Did something change?
Everytime we've gone -all we had to do was show a room key (it was always MINE) and then use our park tickets to go through the turnstiles. I never once had to pull out my children's room keys for them to get in with us for EMH.

You are correct... it can be done that way. Many people like to keep their tickets and keys separate which, unless you are on a package, is also fine.

My DD has always had to show her room key, as well as DH and I... may depend on who is working the gate, but better safe than sorry!:( In fact, she was spending a night with my parents at PO-R and we had to go to the front desk and add her name to the ressie so she too could have a key so they could all go to EMH the next morning (she was asked for the key). Also, with the new ticketing system, things may have changed a bit, as well.

GOOD!! I'm glad they're checking EVERYONE'S room key!!! :cool1: That way the "off-siters" can't get in on EMH and crowd our parks!!! (Sorry if you're an "Off-siter"!!!) :guilty:
