Please don't feed the fish/animals

I just read this in my allears e mail. Disney is getting rid of the animal and fish feeding machines due to some recommendations from animal experts. I am so disappointed. My ds loved feeding the fish at the Poly and Beach Club docks and at the MGM docks. It helped pass the time while we were waiting for the boat rides. It said the animals were becoming too "people" friendly. I dont see what the problem with the fish is since its only catch and release even on the fishing trips. I guess the only job the fish have is to repopulate disney waters.

One problem with trying to feed the fish is that it doesn't take long for the birds to notice and find a way to get over there. Those Ducks can swim fast! And I've had seagulls swoop in as I've thrown food into the water for the fish, and the food gets intercepted and never reaches the fish.

It's definitely to discourage the birds - nothing like a flock of people-desensitized birds to mess up a WDW vacation! We've had birds steal food off of our table at BC and CBR, while we were at the table eating it! Gross!
