WL has bunk beds.
How is the pool ?

water sildes ?
water falls ?
zero entry ?
anything special ?
open 24 hours ?
heated ?
can it handle large crowds in the afternoon ?
seats to sit on ?

Our pool favorite is the Swan/Dolphin so far.
But no bunk beds at the Swan Dolphin.

Thanks :)

This website has wonderful photos from all over WDW:

Hope this helps. I love to look at all of the photos and dream about going back (we've been home for 4 weeks....) ;)

The WL pool is not as elaborate as the S/D, but it is nice. They have a slide. There is no zero entry. They don't have an overhead waterfall like S/D, but there is sort of a low streaming "waterfall" that makes it fun to try to swim "upstream". You are able to swim 24 hours, but lifeguards are not out all night. They have typical lounge chairs and a bar area for drinks. I don't know if it was heated. I was there in the summer and heat wasn't needed. :D They do have a hot tub. The resort itself is beautiful. Be sure to request the bunk beds.:D

There are two pools at the WL - the "quiet pool" by the Villas and the main pool.

The main pool has a small water slide and is "themed" nicely. There are lots of chairs - some tables with umbrellas - and a pool bar that has a good number of tables and chairs behind it (you can't see the pool - but it's a wonderful view of the lake and a LOT quieter than the pool area). There's a small kiddie pool area and two whirlpools. The geyser goes off every hour (if not conserving water) and you can see that from the pool. They had activities in the afternoon for the kids. One was a duck race where they let the ducks go at the top of the waterfall and the kid who's duck gets to the bottom fastest wins a prize. That was very cute to watch and the kids really seemed to enjoy it - oh heck, the adults did to. :)

That said - here's what we didn't like about the pool. We were there during a busy week - and the main pool does not handle crowds well at all. The pool's not all that big. Annoyingly, people tended to "hog" the main steps into the pool. They'd just plunk their bottoms down and make that their place to hang out in the water. (Mostly adults.) Becoz of recent major surgery to my leg, I can only get in and out using those main steps - not the ladders. Every time, I had to ask people to move. Lifeguards never blinked an eye and allowed it the whole time we were there. I kind of felt it was unsafe...I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs steps to enter a pool - but I never complained to the lifeguards - so I guess I have no right to complain now! ;)

When we were there towels were all over the place. I know this isn't exclusive to WL. But many of these were obviously well used and just left behind. It kind of bothered us that we saw a guy go around in the afternoon and pick up "trash" - once it was two people's almost full drinks left under their chair in the shade, next to their shoes, shirts and books...obviously not trash - but not once did we see anyone go around picking up the wet towels that lazy people had left behind. That's probably also why they ran out of towels a couple times we were there.

The villa pool we only went to once - and I can't remember it all that well - less crazy than the main pool and smaller still. The "slide" drew my family, so unfortunately - we ended up at the main pool with the masses who were also drawn there by the slide and children's activities.

We love WL - that was our second trip there - but we didn't like the WL pool all that much this year. I think it was a combination of the time period we were there in as well as WL not keeping up with the masses all that well.

I've reread what I wrote - and I can't seem to edit it to sound any better....The pool just wasn't a highlight of our trip.
