I'm going to give them the clutch as part of their bridesmaid gift, and it will save me from having to pay for bridesmaids bouquets!

Have you considered buying silk flowers?

How do you guys think that will work? Any advice for making sure I rent points from a trustworthy person? I'm waiting until Pam confirms that she has our LOA and the date is set in stone before I book the rooms!

You are right about OKW having the biggest 2 bedroom villa, actually they have the biggest 1 bedroom villa also since it was the first DVC resort built. I own DVC points there so if you have any questions at all about it please PM me and I will be happy to help you out! :goodvibes I am therefore a little biased when it comes to OKW :rolleyes1 I love the theming, the tranquility, one really great thing is you don't feel like you're in a hotel at all. Another thing that's cool is you can often see Epcot's fireworks from your balcony! It's really close to Epcot despite being classed as a Downtown Disney resort. Speaking of, you can also get a boat from OKW to DTD which is awesome.

Having said all that, I think it would be a great idea for you to stay at the Boardwalk since you're getting married there. It might make everything easier on the day and reduce your stress levels. In terms of renting points (which is a great idea by the way, it will save you a TON!) I would use David's DVC Rentals at dvcrequest.com I know a few people who have rented points from there and recommend it. You can also see how many points you'll need for each type of room at each resort and how much that will cost :flower3:

I'm excited to follow your planning! I'm an October 2013 Bride :)

I considered silk flowers -- I just don't want to make the bouquets myself haha. I might find a seller on etsy if I change my mind! Are you using silk?

I went ahead and booked the DVC points! I booked one night at OKW for the bridal party and the week at Boardwalk. They were out of value views at the BWV already, so I had to go with a preferred view. I'm kinda excited though because we'll get a Boardwalk view that I've always wanted!

I'm jealous that you're a DVC member haha. Maybe one day we will be! :)

Congrats on your wedding!

Congrats! You'll love being at the Boardwalk, both for the wedding and after for F&W! It's become our favorite resort (granted, we might be a bit biased...).

Yes I am because it was so much cheaper, I know what my flowers will look like on the day and I love having flowers around the house so I'll use them again afterward :)

That's awesome that you booked your accommodation! I'm sorry they didn't have the view you wanted :sad2: how crazy, it's still so far out! Well, it's technically my dad's, he owns it but lets us use it ;) thanks for the congratulations, the same to you!

Quick question: are you allowed to have more than 9 people in one of the 2 bedroom DVC villas or is that against the rules?

You can have more than 9 people in the 2 bedroom, obviously there won't be enough beds if you mean to actually stay there overnight. If they're just getting ready there then that will be fine, but only the people whose names have been registered as a guest in that room will receive a room key. If you ask for more, they will ask you whose card is lost/doesn't work and inactivate that in order to give you a new one. If you were to say that it was for a 10th person then you would probably get in trouble ;)

I don't think that Disney offer silk flowers, but I'm not 100% sure since I am not having a DFTW (we're getting married at Coronado Springs). There are various different places you can buy silk flowers, depending on the type(s) of flowers that you'd like, this also includes bouts and corsages. Most of these websites have some if not all of their flowers already made into bouquets so you wouldn't have to do that yourself :)

Hi! All of your wedding plans sound amazing! I am a Seminole though so my garter will be garnet and gold :thumbsup2 I'll be in tally for the fsu vs uf game this weekend!

Your proposal story is very sweet. I love mine too and it always puts a smile on my face to tell it, it sounds like it's the same for you!

I reeeally like your color pallette. I think it really fits the Boardwalk area and the MINT dresses! Ah, I love them. lol You have great taste and to be budget conscious too is amazing.

Can't wait to follow along with your plans. You're only getting married like a month before us!

Just joining in! I love your proposal story, so cute!
