I have passed rofr on a nice contract for ssr, but the seller can't close until December. I really wanted to book either two studios or a two bedroom for one day before my disney cruise which sails on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I am going to bid on a contract tomorrow that will give me 75 points as soon as it can close. Do you think I will close in time to book either the two studios, or a two bedroom or even a tree house for the Sat after Thanksgiving, and will there be any rooms left????? HELP

There probably aren't many rooms left now, let alone in six to eight weeks from now. Just pay for a cash reservation if you really need to stay at WDW before your cruise. Why not just stay at the port?

It's highly unlikely you will be able to close and book the rooms before you travel.

As long as you don't come back here complaining that you couldn't get anything.

You might try to book something at Bonnet Creek - might be less than WDW and you'd still be very close.

You don't sound like someone that would like the happiest place on earth. I've read people complain on this site about a lot less.

I'm just taking a chance.

I thought I might have a chance for just one night

It's a good investment even if I don't get a room.

WDW is not the happiest place on earth. That DL. WDW is the most magical place on earth. But even magic can't make a room appear out of nowhere.

It's highly unlikely.

If you really want rooms you would be better off trying to rent right now or booking rooms thru CRO for that date than to buy a contract. Maybe even get rooms at the Poly since you want to dine at Ohana although I don't know if you can even get a reservation there for dinner at this late date.

I just don't think you have enough time. You could have 7 weeks (maybe more) before you get into the system. That puts you at the middle to the end of October, and you are trying to get a room during a huge holiday weekend.

I really would have a plan B, but here's some pixie dust! Remember the last 7 days there is no waitlist and everyone has the same chance to get whatever rooms come up from last minute cancellations.

Have you tried to get the ADR at Ohana's?

We do have a plan b. We have a reservation at Daytona. We are taking my parents on a cruise, and they used to live in Daytona, so we will have a good time there also. We'll take them to their favorite pizza place there, and go to the cruise the next day. I'm still crossing my fingers for any room from a studio to a two bedroom at just about any of the DVC properties. I hope that only needing one night will help... If it doesn't work out, I'll splurge this sumer when I get my 160 point contract that is set to close early December or late november.
We would really like to book something at Disney. My dad went through a year of Cancer treatments, and recently had a total scan and is Cancer-free. Thanks to all for the good wishes, I'm extremely excited about joining. Hopefully in a couple months we will have on small contract, and one medium(160 point) contract. We do have reservations at ohanna's. Pretty late, so we are going to try to walk in early. They usually allow walk ins even Thanksgiving weekend. I got lucky with this a few years ago!

I closed last week, and my points were added today! I called and was expecting to go on a wait list, but much to my surprise, the CM told me that they had 1 two bedroom at SSR!!!!! I was for once in my life speachless. I just got my confirmation email!!!!!

Thanks again to everyone for their support. I called today to ask a question about the cruise we are going on, and they told me a two bed room at animal kingdom opend up. My mom always wanted to stay there, so I snagged it! Have a good one everyone! Hope to see you all there!
