Ok, i am trying hard to come up with a plan for MK in Nov. Using the A.m. EMH. So, here is what i got so far:

Be at MK about 7:30 (Park will open at 8am for EMH)
8-9am (EMH)
Hit
1. Space Mt. (this will be dd-5 first time to ride!) :thumbsup2
2. Buzz Ltyr.
3. Astro Orbiter? mabye?
Head to Fantasyland: Hit:
1. Ariels Grotto - (is she open this early???)
if not, continue to
2. Dumbo
3. Get FP for Philharmagic

Then head over to Front.Land & Adventureland for Spl.mt. and TMt. and Pirates..
Then head to Toon town (which i believe opens at 10 am right??)

How does that sound? :confused3

... at beginning of your day:

I'd recommend skipping the Orbiter and the Grotto, do Dumbo right after Buzz, get a fastpass for either Winnie or Peter Pan, and see Philharmonic on standby while waiting for the fastpass to be active.

Enjoy.

If you want to do Astroorbiter, do it first. We did AO, then Buzz, then Stitch(may skip this time), then moved on to FantasyLand. We were able to get on everything we wanted, but did not do Dumbo(DS is 12)

I would do Fantasyland first. Dumbo builds very quickly as does Peter Pan. Ride Dumbo first, that line will never cease all day and night. I have seen Dumbo have a twenty minute wait 10 minutes into EMH and be at over an hour by the time the park has officially opened to everyone not doing EMH. And I would never waste my fastpass on Mickey's Philharmagic. That is my favorite attraction at any Disney park and I have to do it at least three times per day. Even during Christmas week, we never had to wait longer than 30 minutes and it was usually much shorter than that. That is a large theater and holds lots of people. Even if you get in there but don't make it inside the show itself, you'll have no more than a 10 minute wait once your inside. Don't let what looks like a long que scare you on this one, lots of people can see this show at once and if you use fastpass it gains you very little but takes away your ability to fastpass something else. I always do everything in Fantasyland first except Mickey's Phil and Small World as those don't have the long waits the smaller dark rides do.

So for your hour of EMH I would concentrate on the slow loaders like Dumbo and do Peter Pan as well. Even though Peter Pan has fastpass, I prefer to ride that early when I can to save my fp's for Splash, Space and the big headliners. When I have been to MK it always seems that Space's line may build but not get really nasty until a bit later. Same with Buzz. And I would suggest do Astro Obitor early too since that line also builds quickly, is a slow loader and never seems to diminish unless the park is open very late.

I think your plan of heading to Frontierland following Fantasyland and Tomorrowland is a good one. Pirates rarely has a long line. You can always do that and things like Country Bear Jamboree if its crowded and you are waiting to get on Splash or BTMRR with a fastpass.

Not sure when Ariel's Grotto opens, as I recall I didn't see anything going on in there last time we were at MK early which was in May.

Thanks so much for the tips!!
So, i think i will still head to Space Mt first, since that is all dd can talk about! Then go to AO. Then Buzz.
I need to talk to dd, as i am not totally sure if she wants to even do Dumbo. She seems like each yr. she is less and less thrilled with the "boring" fantasyland rides. But, she may want to do PPan. I am also thinking i should grab a FP for Space mt. since i am SURE she will want to ride it again!!
I just want to make sure we are at the line for Front.land when that rope drops, to get on Splash mt. and TMRR right away, then backtrack to pirates.
Then head to Toon town.

I would hit Space Mountain first (gotta honor the DDs special request :wizard: ); then Buzz; then Pooh and Pan. Is there any way you can hold off Dumbo for another day? It really is best if done first thing. Also, I would wait on AO until later in the day.

How do you know how many rides you'll be able to cram into that hour? I'd go for the big attractions first, and FP whichever one has the nearest return window, but that's just me :)

Your plans will have to be subject to change due to crowd levels, some EMH's are HORRENDOUS, some are absolutely empty. We went to one at MGM and virtually had the park to ourselves!!

To my knowledge, Ariel is not open for EMH. If your child HAS to see Ariel find out what time the grotto is scheduled to be opened and be there at opening, the lines for that place are ridiculous.

If your child has to do Dumbo, then it has to be done first. So if SM is #1 on her list, then I would plan on doing Dumbo on another morning.

My little girl is 8, and she still likes to ride Dumbo at least once. Next trip she will be 9 so maybe we can do without Dumbo (fingers crossed).

If you are planning on doing morning EMH, plan on leaving that park shortly after regular park opening. That park is going to be CRAZY crowded for the rest of that day.

We rarely do EMH mornings. Too crowded for our tastes, most of the attractions open for morning EMH are fastpass attractions, so normally we don't bother. We pick a less crowded park that day and get there for opening.

Thanks again, i know i can count on you guys!!

i just checked again, and to make matters worse, EMH (AM) are on Thanksgiving Day!!! Soooooooo.........

However, this will be our 2nd Day at the MK (We are going the Tues before TG too) and i know it will be crowded.. So, this plan may have to be hugely altered.. I am really hoping we can totally skip Dumbo this yr, as of most of Fantasyland.. She just isn't much into that land as the others! (Which i am soooo glad about!) LOL
