Hi!

I met with my travel partner today and we did a bit more planning for our trip. I can't believe we'll be there in 3 weeks! :cool1:

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable people could help with some meal queries.

1) Of these restaurants that we have picked, which can I book in advance?:
  • Chuck's Wagon
  • Agrabah Cafe
  • Inventions lunch buffet

(We have also chosen Cafe Mickey, Walt's and Blockbuster Cafe, but I know about these already).

2) How far in advance can I book?

3) Two of the evenings, we have opted to have a hot dog or bar snack in the Santa Fe where we are staying, as we will have had a large lunch. However, I was wondering if any of the other hotel bars were recommended for snacks? Does the price for a hot dog increase the better the hotel?

4) I'm not overly looking forward to Agrabah for lunch or Chuck's Wagon for evening meal, despite agreeing on them, has anyone got any alternative suggestions to sway the decision?!

Thanks very much.

1- All of them afask

2 - You could book them now if you wanted - The reservations service know the park hours so they will be able to tell when/if the restaurants are closed.

3- No idea as I've never been in a hotel

4-I didn't mind Agrabah for lunch as there was really something for everyone, even more than something if you like a different "style" of cusine, but I'm not a big buffet fan so I wouldn't be back.

People say good things about Plaza Gardens and it looks nice from the outside or Restaurant des Stars in the Studios. They have the automate Remy come round but it always looks like bedlam when we've been by :lmao:

you can reserve tables at all of your choices

up to 60 days in advance of your arrival

3) Two of the evenings, we have opted to have a hot dog or bar snack in the Santa Fe where we are staying, as we will have had a large lunch. However, I was wondering if any of the other hotel bars were recommended for snacks? Does the price for a hot dog increase the better the hotel?
haven't got a clue, sorry, have never had bar snacks at any of the hotels

If its the food choices at the Agrabah Cafe you're not keen on (because the setting is stunning), then I'd go for lunch at Rendezvous des Stars instead (I love this buffet). And instead of the Chuck Wagon, I'd go to the Beaver Creek Tavern at the Sequoia Lodge for an evening meal.

Thanks very much.

hope this helps,

The bars all serve different snacks but Ive never see any serve hotdogs. Ive eaten in the SL bar a few times and had nice baguette sandwiches with crisps. As far as I remember the prices for snacks at DLH were much higher so I assume they do increase in price but as I say what they serve is different anyhow.
Another option is to grab a sandwich from the shop in the station or there is a sandwich place in the Village which serves hotdogs as well as sandwiches etc. The sports bar also serves a few different food options

This.

Plus The Earl of Sandwich will be opening on the 1st of June and they will have very yummy (hot) sandwiches and salads :)

Thanks for the advice and opinions!

I'd forgotten about the Earl of Sandwich, which opens the night before we leave.

I will also look at the menus for Plaza Gardens, although the theming at Agrabah does look impressive.

I'll ring and book later today, then write my pre-trip report :goodvibes

Thanks again.
