Please compare WL vs. VWL

Once again, our family is debating, among other things, staying at WL again or giving a studio at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge a try. It would seem like a no-brainer (more room and, if I rent points, less money) until I look at the pictures I've seen online. We LOVE the look of the rooms at WL...warm colors, Mission-style furniture and attractive lighting. However, the photos I've seen of the VWL look like the colors are somewhat garish with truly clashing patterns; the bed just looks pushed against a bare wall?!?! Surely I'm wrong! Has anyone actually stayed at both and would be willing to offer their thoughts? I know sometimes pictures can make things look much less attractive than they are.
Thanks very much!

We have stayed at both and I thought the villas had the same feel of decor as the WL. Same style lamps, etc. We also felt it was an easy decision for the additional room and a seperate bedroom. The only thing I missed was a courtyard view. But our woods view at the villas was lovely and relaxing.

Only negative - it is a LONG walk to the MK boat!

At VWL if you have a 1 or 2 bedroom villa they have a washer and dryer in them. A studio you use the laundry room and there is no fee to use the washer and dryer. The studio rooms have a large dorm type refigerator, a toaster and microwave. The 1 and 2 bedroom units have full kitchens.
