OK, I for one think that most if not all of the changes are completely dumb. I will be the first to say that when TRON month began Yavn should have been checked into a "happy house". I like that the new home page looks cooler but I hate the new Haley and Jake tour guides.

Yavn and the VMK team have not displayed a lick of creativity. All the items except for two costumes and a few mystery items are older items that are re-released so that the design team gets a break. I hate the one time use magic rule and that is completely moronic. I like the in-trade icon and the staff uniforms being based on a Disney park for once. 15 pins! That is way too many and most guests dont even have 15 pins.


VMK can make many stupid changes and do what they want AFTER they clean up VMK by removing all of the taken, baby, and foul language.

How can you judge the changes when most have not even been released? I applaud them making changes and they highlight the fact why some changes are made. In addition, it is clear that they are listening to our suggestions. I know the one time magic is a concern for most - but until we actually see it in action, how you obtain it, and if it is many times, cannot really judge it.

I know I am pleased with the lack of dcing. To me after being here since beta, I am estatic over that. Thanks Yavn and VMK staff.

I have to agree with Disvaclub that the dc fix is happening. Let us see what additional changes are made, then make your opinions. When we get something for nothing, it is easy to criticize other people's work. Instead of doing that, why not applaude the work they do and appreciate the effort that goes into implementing such changes.

I'm not suggesting to blindly follow something without an opinion on it, but there are factors beyond one or two people's control. There are limitations to the game engine, one's influence, and bosses to please. You have to also consider the time it takes to recode, test, and implement anything that would possibly be detrimental to the game. Changes may take awhile, and some may not even be OMG GREAT to you, but many think it's better than it was before.

Ahh, only if parents could get kids to implement all the changes they want in their kids lives as quickly as VMK does huh?

To Yavn and Staff, thanks for everything, and keep those improvements coming!

While Tron may not have appealed to you in anyway, there are many who really loved it. I for one LOVE the new teleporters, and have seen many players proudly wearing their new Tron costume. You can’t please all the people all the time.

The new homepage will take time to get used to. Anytime changes are made to something we are familiar and comfortable with, it can take time to adjust. Constructive criticism could always be sent in if you feel strongly about the new look.

Creativity; I just don’t know how to respond to this statement. I wish I had just a fraction of the creativity I see happening in VMK!

One time use magic, give it a chance to come out and see how it really works. Let’s judge it after we have had a chance to try it.

15 pins; Brand new guests may not have 15 pins, but most other players do. Why shouldn’t the amount of pins we wear be increased? Now we can wear magic and a series or two of pins that we enjoy. While I think we would still love a way to display more of our pins through a pin book or something, this is a start to address the issue of being able to display more of our favorite pins.

The game issues of taken, baby, and dictionary dancing seem separate from enhancements and changes made in the game. Staff has repeatedly stated taken and baby are not against values, and moderating for dictionary dancing will be an on going, never ending job.

What exactly is wrong with 15 pins? Just because most guests don't have 15 pins doesn't mean it's a stupid idea. Most guests don't have eight pins either. I don't think that the one time magic is stupid either, I just think the reason they gave us for it was. So what if magic was not being used as much? That means people don't like it as much... So they decide making magic only usable one time will make people use it more?

Wolf, you seem like an okay guy, you are a good person to trade with, and you are a good DIS member, but you are way off here. Yavn checked into a happy house? C'mon. I'm not a huge fan of Haley & Jake, but they certainly don't hurt anything. The tron stuff is pretty cool, if you ask me. Everyone seems to want the arcades, and the teleporters are a very cool new item. As for the new costumes, maybe it's not that creative to re-release older items or release new colors or old items, but they are giving the players what the players have asked for. You can't blame them for that.
It's too early to judge the single use magic. If it's treasure detector, it might prove popular. And the 15 pins is extremely cool and is being introduced to meet a demand.
Taken and bay bee aren't going anywhere. Kids like to play pretend, and VMK doesn't are if they do it. Why should we? I don't play taken or bay bee, and I just ignore those that do (except homeless baby, I go in and complain about that one). It's actually pretty easy to ignore, and it causes me little if any trouble. Lighten up, enjoy the stuff you like, and don't worry about the stuff you don't like. October is shaping up to be a lot of fun it you let it be.

Well I happen to like all the changes in vmk! I don't know you but I think everyone has their own opinion. But I really think you should at least give it a chance before you complain. I am looking forward to all the costumes coming out. There is alot of them I don't have. Am I sad that it looks like we won't get the new girls Pirate costume for Halloween? You bet... I was really wanting that more than any of them! But hey...that is just the way it goes. Just means I will still look forward to it coming out soon. And then there is the mystery items, I do believe some of them will be new costumes as Yavin said they was new ones coming. I agree we can't please everyone... But I am very please with the vmk. I think Tron month was fantasic. I love the new Tron teleporters, they are the coolest! The Tron costumes are also sweet...Yes again I wish they had brought out the pink Tron suit... but again I can look forward to that item coming out. I am really excited about the new costumes and the holidays coming to vmk. I say THANK YOU YAVIN and STAFF!
