Please be safe this hunting season

I just got off the phone with my mother. My brother and dad were shot while hunting this morning. They are fine now. The bullet fragmented, hitting my brother on the back in two different spots and my dad on the shoulder. It was a very scary couple of hours. The safety was thought to be on, but the sherrif said it wasn't (my stupid uncle's gun) and it fell over. P&PD please and be careful.

Just got off the phone with my mother, and my dad is going in for surgery. His injury was less severe, but some of his coat has to be removed surgically. He just went in 10 minutes ago.

Yes it did. DH had to travel today and took a lot of backroads. He said he saw lots of orange out there. Fortunately for me he is not gun hunting this year. There is just no time. Ever since that guy shot all of those hunters I get freaked out.

Dad was in surgery for about an hour. My mom called and told me that he was out and fine but I won't have any details until tomorrow. Thank you everyone.

I hope and pray that he is okey after surgury......My DH had a gun explode five weeks ago and is still recooping here at home.....He was seriously injured and spent four days in ICU and five days on surgical floor......It was a horrible accident.......I Will keep your family in my prayers......
I did go out hunting last week to make sure I could do this (without my hubby of course) ....my son took me and I did get a deer..........

My dad called me last night. He sounded so tired but was in no pain. They had numbed his entire arm and shoulder so he won't feel anything until today. He is so strong and probably wouldn't tell me if it hurt. Luckily we were planning on heading up Wednesday. I can't wait to see them. Thank you everyone for you best wishes.

Pumba, my prayers go out to you and your family. This time of year can be so dangerous. Thank god that your husband is ok.
