Regarding a poster who mentioned metal detectors....they don't have these at WDW? On our last 2 trips to Six Flags theme parks, they not only had metal detectors, but they wanded my husband as well. He's got metal in his knees and sets off metal detectors everywhere. The thing I found ironic was that they took him at his word and he ended up bringing in his Leatherman, which has a locking blade at least 3 inches long on it

. Granted, he's allowed to carry things like concealed weapons and such, but they still should have done a quick pat down. At one of the parks, they did pat him down and failed to find the Leatherman...

Being an officer who has to do multiple pat downs each night a work, he was amused and horrified by this. So they don't have metal detectors, huh?
As for the fanny pack issue, I truly have fallen in love

with this little gem I picked up:

It's been GREAT and gets :thewave: from our family. It can carry an ungodly amount of stuff, is made super tough (the zippers are amazing...and yes, I CAN get excited about zippers because nothing's worse than the darn things breaking halfway through your trip), and looks "sporty". It's also darn comfortable. I carried it around SF Marine World from around 9am until 8pm, stuff with:
*full size sunscreen
*lip balm
*handi-wipes
*3 wallets (mine, my stepson's, my stepdaughter's)
*Digital camera
*35mm camera
*my cell phone and hubbie's cell phone
*2 big sport bottles (the kind that SF sells that are refillable...32oz, I think) in the side pockets made for water bottles
*various medicine (aspirin, pain relievers, etc)
*snacks for the kids (baggies filled with goldfish, gummy bears, granola bars, etc.)
*2 disposable cameras for the kids (yes, I know I probably went overboard on the camera issue...ROFL)
*and other assorted stuff I can't think of right now.
We got absolutely SOAKED on the river ride (they have these wonderful machines located along the water ride where bystanders can insert .25 and bombard you with water cannons) and most of our stuff stayed dry. I was really expecting my back to hurt by the end of the day (I don't have the best back in the world), but it didn't. Plus, on most of the rides, I could twist it around to the front or side without having to leave it until the ride was over. Oh, and my hubby wasn't embarrassed at the thought of having to take over the "pack mule duties"
Hubbie wore cargo shorts....and of course, the pockets were empty most of the day...all the stuff was in my pack!!! He DID carry the park maps, coupons, etc.
