Please advise on best princess experience for a 3 y.o.

We have a 9 y.o. son, and our daughter was just an infant last time we were at wdw, so I am trying to find a character meal for her that she will enjoy. I don't really care what meal it is, though my thoughts are that lunch might be the best...don't know why i think that, I just do. Her fav is Ariel and then sleeping beauty. Or, I am also up for other suggestions besides the princesses, but she is not a tv watcher so she doesn't know a whole lot about all the princesses just yet, thought I must say she is quite enthralled by the castle. She likes JoJo too. Is there a char. meal with her anywehre? Too bad there's no dora...thats her fav!!!

Thanks for any help. Its all so overwhelming to a mommy of a toddler princess. There are so many different ones to read about and I really dont understand the difference between most of them (i.e. Cinderellas royal table, vs. the ones in Epcot, etc...)

Well, I'm a newbie too, so take it for what it's worth.

For starters, are you on the meal plan? If not, you'll most definitely want to take a look at the prices before making any decisions.

The Cinderella meal in the Castle is the toughest of the reservations to get. It also counts as 2 meals on the DDP.

If you're thinking the Akerhaus in Norway: take a look at the menus. The breakfast menu is the one that's typical American food; lunch and dinner are Norwegian food. That would be great for my son; my daughters are much pickier eaters and probably wouldn't do as well there.

We ended up booking dinner w/ Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare. For my family it just seemed like the best fit.

Personally we like the Princess breakfast in Norway at Epcot. The food is actually pretty good and the princesses were wonderful in December. We saw Sleeping Beauty, Ariel with land legs, Pocahontas, Mulan and I think Mary Poppins.

CRT (Cindy's Royal Table) is in general the biggest of the princess meals. this is as stated above, a tough nut to crack when getting reservations. The Princess meal at epcot is chalk full of princesses, but since Arial doesn't have, what do you call them, feet... she can be found in her grotto at MK.

The hollywood and vine in Studios has characters from playhouse disney... I'm not sure which, but JoJo and Handy Manny etc. can also be found in the studios at a character spot over near the playhouse disney thing, over toward the animation courtyard.

There is a spot where you can meet Dora too, I would guess Studios as well, but it escapes me at the moment. Ask any cast member and they can access Chip to get the character locations.

Oh and Mickeys Toontown Fair, the Judges tent I think, ask the castmember, which line is for princesses.

and belle does story book time, near the castle.

And first thing in the morning, often alice and snow white will come out to ride with the early morning families... your timing has to be just right for this.

hmmm, I think that is it for princess interaction, besides 1900 park fair for dinner.

I also wanted to add that my daughter loved the 1900 Park fare for dinner. It had Cinderella and the stepsisters, along with Alice and the Mad Hatter.

CRT is really good if you're willing to spend the money/dining credits to do it.

First Dora is a Nickelodeon character and she can't be found anywhere at Disney. Ariel, legs and all, is one of the Princesses that rotate in Norway.

I think Princess Dining in Norway is the best deal if you are on the dining plan. It's only one TS credit and if you are going after April 26th, a photo package is included. 1900 Park Fare is another nice option, but you will see more princesses in Norway.

If your daughter likes the princesses , then another vote here for the Princess breakfast in Norway! My 2 daughters really enjoyd this meal and meeting all the princesses! The Play and Dine charcter meal at Disney Studios was by far my dd's favorite though...it has JoJo and Goliath and June and Leo from the Little Einsteins. The characters dance with the kids and this would really be a lot of fun for your three year old! Good luck!

If your DD is into princesses and is enthralled by the castle, I'd try for CRT. We've eaten breakfast there a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The first time we ate there, my DD was 3. She was really into all things princess, and she was mesmerized by the castle the moment she saw it. As we were walking up the stairs in the castle to go to breakfast, I heard her whisper to herself, "This is so amazing!" I have it on video and I tear up every time I watch it. It is such a great memory for us.

So, my vote would be for CRT. We haven't done Norway, but we did enjoy 1900 PF. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the princess meals, but since you also have a DS, the castle might be the most interesting for him.

I recommend breakfast in Norway (my little girl loves Sleeping Beauty too). This is great for princess interaction - you'll see 5 leading ladies. They each come around to every table and visit with you. ALSO - look for Sleeping Beauty in France later that day. Ask a CM when (and if) she is scheduled to be in France. There are other princesses around the countries in Epcot - keep your eyes out for them.

Be sure to visit Ariel in her Grotto in MK and do Belle's storytime in MK.

We did both the castle and Norway. We liked Norway for lunch I had a BBQ pork sandwich. DH had the Norwegian special and it was good. Norway you get more princesses. CRT you get the Castle, a wandor sword, and a couple of photos which are nice. You might want to look at the menu selections that may help. Of course neither of my kids ate because they were both so excited, thank goodness we were on the meal plan because not sure we would have done both. We are doing the 1900 this Oct so I can't compare.
