Please Advise! Mangio's (SOG) reservations?

Hi!

I will be at WDW in Feb 21-25 and wanted to try Mangio's at SOG. As a child we often stayed at Disney Inn / The Golf Resort...Now SOG...and I wanted to visit. I called SOG and was told that the only way I could get dinner reservations is if I was staying at the resort or a friend was and I could be their guest. Is this correct? I thought anyone could dine there IF they had reservations. Does any one know how a non militaty person can get dinner reservations?

I have heard mixed things on this board but in my personal experience- the onlyy place non military can eat is those golfing b Evergreeens. The have always checked our id's going in and out of the resort when we stayy. I know many would beg to differ but i think my meal there was probably the worst thing i have ever eaten in Disney so I don't think you are missing much!

Mangino's is not open to the general public. Only resort guests and military personnel with id can dine there. If you called SOG and were told you can't make a reservation to dine, take their word for it.
